Chapter 01

Fenton Kornel was naturally excited. Lord Albert the Cat Lord of Quad Counties Planet were allowing the Kornel family to move into the Japanopolis region into a small farmhouse located just outside of the city, as per Winston Kornel's request. Fenton's mom, Lea Skeeter-Kornel, and his brother, Lars, though he preferred to be called Larry, and his near perfect though quiet and gosh darn beautiful and drop dead gorgeous sister, Sally Kornel, were all taking this move in stride.

When Winston was laid off from his job, he never expected to be offered a new job in the Japanopolis region doing nearly the same thing he had done before, only as a docking manager, and for better pay to boot. But their fortune was all due to the chance encounter Fenton had just before Christmas with a Devil Mouse named Zecma, who was on a mission to give out game cards to deserving people during a giveaway he had held for subscribers of his gaming magazine.

The Kornel family were in their motor home as it drove down the highway. They had already lost their old house due to a mortgage foreclosure and now they truly felt as if they were leaving nothing behind. The family dog, Gosh, a large friendly Pyrenees, quietly rested in his doggy bed while the family focused on the road ahead.

"It was awfully nice of Simba to make the arrangements for my new job and our new home, Lea," said Winston. "We should be there in another few minutes."

Lea smiled. "Our own farm like I grew up on when I was a girl. We can grow our own food and maybe have a cow for fresh milk. And come chickens for eggs. And pigs for bacon and ham."

Larry said, "I just hope we get there before this motor home breaks down. It is an old vehicle."

Fenton exclaimed, "There's the Transportal leading into the Japanopolis region of Q.C. Planet!"

Winston nodded his head and turned the motor home off through the quiet Transportal from the main freeway. Then they made a left and got into the correct lane, as they drove onward as they approached the citizen entry gate into Japanopolis.

Standing in the check booth was Amy Rose of Sonic the Hedgehog fame. "Hello folks. This is the citizen entry to Japanopolis. You people don't look like locals. May I see your passes please?"

Fenton quickly said, "You're Amy Rose, right? Simba told us to have you call in a check on Line Four on the arrival of the Kornel family who were given a farm just south of Japanopolis. You're the sexy pink Hedgehog with the Tarot Cards and the awesome Pika Pika Hammer. Sonic should pay more attention to you."

Amy Rose blushed. "Kornel, you said?" She then looked through some private messages that she had posted on her wall. Then she saw the name Kornel on one note. She read the information, then turned and smiled to the family. "The Kornel family! Yes, we have orders to give you VIP clearance. I'm sorry I held you up. Please go right on in. Drive onward for 2 miles to the edge of the city, then turn off on the Valley Bypass South. When you reach Crop Circle Road, hang a right and drive onward for about a mile and a half and you will find a donated mailbox with your name on it. Simply turn into the driveway and you're there."

Winston smiled at Amy Rose as he drove on through the gate. Following her directions, they soon turned on to the Valley Bypass South and continued on until they saw Crop Circle Road, which seemed to be an unpaved county road. They turned right on that and drove on until they saw their donated mailbox with their name on it. At that point, they turned into the south driveway and got their first look at the absolutely beautiful farm house, barn, stables, a like new tractor, a new lawn mower, and crop fields. The farm was surrounded by a wooden white fence.

Chapter 02

Lea exclaimed, "Oh my. I thought Simba said this was a little farm."

Larry giggled. "Simba is a big lion, so to him, maybe it did seem little. I like it."

Winston smiled. "I can see me working that field on the weekends."

Sally sat there quietly holding Gosh in her arms. And Gosh was protecting her, as usual.

Lea suddenly pointed toward a neighboring fence and said, "What is that?"

The Kornels all looked in that direction and what they saw was a brown and white dragon like being that was the size of Larry and Fenton. It wasn't looking their way, but seemed to be paying attention to its own farm land.

Fenton said, "I'll go find out what it is. Be right back." And he started for the motor home door.

Winston said, "Fenton! Be careful!"

Fenton grinned at his father. "Dad... this is cartoon land. Duh." And he was out the door and heading across the farm toward the fence where the dragon like creature stood.

From the motor home, they saw Fenton and the dragon like kid shake hands, then talk at length about a few things. Finally, the Kornels saw Fenton returning with a smile. He opened the door and said, "You aren't going to believe this! Our neighbors are Digimon! They grow corn in their field and pop the excess amount, coat it in caramel, and sell the result to the markets! The kid I spoke to was called Lyle Myrdramon! He goes to school at Montropolis High School!"

Lea smiled. "Sounds like you made a friend, Fenton. Okay everyone... lets get this motor home unpacked and see about claiming our bedrooms.

"Once they were unpacked and Gosh stationed in his doggy bed in the mud room, the family were looking over the bedroom arrangement. Winston said, "According to the floor plan of the farm house, this is the master bedroom. And this is a daughter's bedroom. And this bedroom is for an older son. And..." He paused, as he looked over the rest of the floor plan. "Ah, there it is. The last bedroom is... there." He paused again. "No, that can't be right. The last bedroom isn't even in the main farmhouse."

Fenton looked over the page of the map of the house. "So where is my bedroom located, dad?"

Winston said, "Believe it or not, son, you head out the kitchen door to the outside on the deck that goes over and connects to the side of the stables, then you head up these stairs to the second floor, and there will be a mini-deck and a door that leads into your bedroom."

Lea arched an eye. "Are you serious? That sounds like a long trip for Fenton to take every day to get to the kitchen and the bathroom. Are you sure that's the last bedroom."

Winston replied, "According to the layout, there is a bedroom on the second floor of the stables, and in the back of that bedroom is a walk-in closet hallway that leads to his own bathroom. But there is only one kitchen."

Chapter 03

Fenton never complained at all, honestly. Zecma did promise that he would see about getting him a summer job at the circus, so he was willing to endure anything. Not to mention, he had made a Digimon friend their first day on the farm. His father was going to be checking in at the new work place in the morning for a briefing with the dock personnel, while his mother was going to be in contact with Japanopolis High School, mainly to check to see if their school records had arrived as yet. Little did Fenton know what Saturday morning was to bring. December 26th on the new farm was like the best Christmas present ever given. His dad had a new job; the family had a new home; and every sibling had their own bedroom.

And the best part was that Simba sicced the Lord Yuskay lawyers on the Real World welfare people. They had agreed to leave Sally alone as long as she lived on Q.C. Planet.

Fenton had finished his dinner and helped his mom wash the dishes earlier, and now, he was out for a walk on the huge farm land, mainly following the fence line. Back near the woods in the far back of the farm, he saw a good looking two-tailed brown fox gathering shiny rocks. Fenton greeted the vulpine politely. "Konnichi-wa, fox boy."

The brown Kitsune glanced over toward the fence then smiled. "You must be one of the Kornels. My name is Flicker Prower." He walked over to the fence and shook the boy's hand. "And what is your name?"

The boy smiled. "I'm Fenton Kornel, the youngest member of the family. What are you doing?"

Flicker grinned slyly. "I am gathering shiny stones for my father. Its a punishment. I would rather be romping in the mud swamps with Leather, Lyle and Drive. They really know how to have fun."

Fenton grinned back. "I met Lyle Myrdramon already. He was pretty nice."

Flicker nodded his head as he continued to pick up shiny stones. "He helps me with my homework." Then he stood up again. "Thanks for stopping to talk to me, Fenton. I really hope you end up going to school in Montropolis. You're okay. I have to get going now or my father will invent something else for me to do. Bye." And with that, he began spinning his two tails like a rotary helicopter and flew off through the woods to the south.

Fenton smiled. "Prower, he said. I'll bet his dad is either Tails or one of the stunt doubles. He even flies like them. I better get back to the house now. At least I learned some more local names." And he headed off and back toward the farm house.

At the kitchen table, Fenton sat down and he saw his mother with that rare "look" on her face that no one ever wanted to get. "Um, mom... you have that... look... on your face... did someone do something bad again?"

Lea looked at her son and said, "I just spoke with the Japanopolis School Board. They have the most utmost, most ridiculous rule that I have ever heard of. And it concerns you, son. When the school buses come on Monday... Larry will be getting on the one going to Japanopolis High. And you will be attending Montropolis High."

Fenton was actually happy about that, but he didn't dare show any happiness about it while his mom had that "look" on her face. "So what exactly is the dumb rule, mom?"

Lea replied, "The Japanopolis school rule is that we cannot send two children who are within four years or less apart of age to their school, so they can prevent favoritism among siblings in the school system. They told me that they have had problems with it before and they regret that this is the case now. So you have to go to school with your friend Lyle."

Chapter 04

Saturday morning brought about both sides of the locals from Japanopolis. And that in itself was pretty strange in itself. The Sailor Scouts seemed very interested in Sally, which was typical for Anime females. Larry was meeting up with Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh, two teachers who would be teaching him in his school.

As for Fenton, he was serving refreshments to the visitors as the perpetual nobody. He was almost wishing that he had gone to Mythos Bay with his dad. But his mother had convinced him that perhaps he would meet some of the local teachers from his school. So far, however, they hadn't seen a single resident from Montropolis... at all.

"Mom?" Fenton said. "I'm bored."

Lea hugged her son and said, "Okay, Fenton. I guess we were wrong about your coming teachers. You can go inside and watch some TV. Maybe you can find some more caring cartoons to watch."

That statement literally got all of the Anime visitors attention, but they quickly began to wish that they hadn't turned to look at Mrs. Kornel because they were all then receiving that "look" that Lea was famous for having when she was upset. Fenton chose not to wait to see what would happen to those people who earned that "look" as he went inside the house and turned on the TV and sat on the sofa with a sigh.

"I was excited about living here originally... now, I feel like I'm the family servant that no one cares about."

At that moment, a familiar Anime boy walked in from the kitchen and smiled at Fenton. "Oh, I'm sorry. Is this the Kornel residence?" It was Ashley Ketchum of Pokemon fame.

Fenton smiled and stood up. "Yeah, this is the right place. I'm Fenton Argyle Kornel."

Ashley smiled and shook the boy's hand. "I will be one of your teachers this year. Sorry we were late. I had been having breakfast with Miles Prower and Tai when we were reminded that the welcoming committee was supposed to be coming up here today. I know you will like going to school in Montropolis."

At that moment, Miles "Tails" Prower, Guilmon, Knuckles, and Pikachu came into the living room and greeted the human boy with smiles.

Fenton was happy now. He was getting to meet some of the greats of Montropolis. "Am I ever glad you guys showed up today. I was starting to get bored."

Knuckles said, "Where is your mom at?"

Fenton winked at Knuckles and escorted him over to the front window curtain where they both peeked outside.

Standing in the front yard was Lea Kornel with her famous "look" on her face.

Knuckles whispered, "I hate to admit this but that "look" actually scares me."

Fenton grinned and whispered back, "That is my mom's famous "look" that no one desires to get. You know you're in trouble when she makes that face. She is literally not the woman to cross when she gets like that." He then hugged Knuckles and pulled him away from window and returned to join the others once again.

Chapter 05

About an hour later, Fenton was entertaining his guests in the kitchen of the farmhouse. At that moment, Sally and Gosh came inside from outdoors and immediately headed upstairs to the girl's room. Fenton noted that his sister looked upset.

"I'll bet someone tried to pet Gosh."

Pikachu then spoke in English, but with an Japanese accent. "Gosh was the dog, I assume?"

Fenton looked at the yellow Pokemon. "You can speak English? In the TV cartoon, you can only say your name."

Pikachu replied, "Human producers tend to only want the human stars to speak English or Japanese. If everything spoke fluently in the show, then the importance of the humans would be undermined. Therefore I choose to only speak fluently off camera. And in the Montropolis School System."

Fenton looked to Ashley. "How do you feel about Pikachu talking?"

Ashley replied, "Oh he's a pro. A great actor. He's helped me many a time with my lines."

The boy nodded his head with a hum.

Miles came over with a glass of milk and said, "I am looking forward to see what classes you take in Montropolis, Fenton."

Fenton smiled at the two-tailed Kitsune. "I saw your son last night gathering shiny stones."

Miles grinned. "He was naughty so that was his punishment. He chose that over cleaning Sonic's toilet with a single paper towel." He winked.

Fenton laughed out loud.

At that moment, Larry came into the kitchen and saw his brother's guests. "These guys are from Montropolis? I'm actually jealous, Fen! Your instructors are some of the most famous anime toons! Mine are some of the newer guys that I've almost never heard of!"

Fenton turned to his brother. "Not my fault, Larry. By the way, what happened earlier with Gosh and Sally? We saw them go through the kitchen and up the bedroom stairs."

Larry giggled at that point. That obviously meant it was a classic 'do not touch my dog' moment. "One of the Sailor Scouts tried to pet Gosh and Sally came unglued like she usually does. The next thing we knew, the Sailor Scout was lying on the ground and the two were heading into the house fast."

Knuckles chuckled. "About time one of those pompous Sailor Scouts took a fall. That should make Miyuki pretty happy when she hears about this."

Fenton asked, "Who is Miyuki?"

Knuckles replied with a grin, "Miyuki Tsukino aka Dark Witch, a cousin of Sailor Moon. She's an interesting person."

Chapter 06

That evening at the dinner table, the Kornel family was gathered for a meal and Winston was telling the others what his job was to be like in Mythos Bay.

"I don't see how they got anything done before I hired on there," he remarked, as he spread some butter on his corn bread. "Ghosts, skeletons and Skeletor himself roaming around the docks. And most interestingly, I'm Skeletor's superior on the job site itself. He walked me through the routine there. He was nothing like he is in the cartoons."

Lea said, "We met the teachers today, dear. They are a pretty okay bunch, but I trust Fenton's teachers more than I do Larry's teachers."

Larry piped in, saying, "I totally agree, mom! They had shifty eyes! And they made you use your 'look'!"

Lea said, "Well, they treated your brother like he wasn't even there. And if it weren't for him, we wouldn't be living here at all."

Fenton was eating quietly, but with a big smile on his face. He was kind of wondering who Leather and Drive were; the two others that Flicker had mentioned as being his and Lyle's buddies. Then he noticed everyone looking at him. "What?"

Winston said, "Your mind was in the clouds, Fenton. Lea just said that we wouldn't be here now if it weren't for you."

Fenton chuckled. "I just got lucky, that's all. Besides, if my mind was in the clouds, the Superheroes of Meta-Star City would be splatting into it as they flew over on their patrols. Could you just imagine...?"

Lea cleared her throat. "Ahem. Not at the dinner table. Or do you want that... 'look'... tonight?"

He kept quiet after that.

Sally finished her dinner, made some sign language briefly, then stood up and headed up toward her room with Gosh happily following her.

Larry then said, "Gosh and Sally, sitting in a tree..."

Winston wanted to warn his son that their mother was right there, but it was too late as Larry became the beholder of that special 'look' that no one wanted to get. Followed by that special 'scolding' that no one deserved to get.

Later that night, Winston and Fenton were seated in deck chairs on the boy's private deck in front of his bedroom over the stables. "This is a pretty quiet spot, son," said Winston. "You have a nice arrangement out here."

Fenton grinned. "I'm still surprised that my bedroom is actually out here with its own bathroom and away from the main house. It is almost like VIP quarters. And its a lot quieter in there than you might think, dad. I slept beautifully last night. Especially with my not having to hear Larry's snoring. He is worse than grandpa ever was."

Winston chuckled. "I think he is worse than your mother..."

Fenton giggled quietly. "You better watch your mouth, dad... you have to sleep with her tonight."

Chapter 07

Sunday morning was upon them before they knew it. And Fenton heard someone knocking on his bedroom door. He got out of bed wearing just his undershorts and walked over to the door and opened it sleepily.

Standing on his deck was Lyle Myrdramon, the Digimon boy from next door. "Morning Fenton. May I come in? Your mom told me you were up here."

Fenton yawned and stepped out of the way, allowing the Digimon to come in. Then he closed the door and headed back toward his bed sleepily. Apparently, the boy was used to sleeping in on Sunday morning.

"Nice undershorts."

The boy stopped and blushed as he came awake immediately and looked over his shoulder at Lyle. "Um... how did you get in here...?" Having already forgot that he let the boy in.

The Digimon chuckled. "You opened the door for me, silly. Flicker told me last night that you met him. He said you were really REALLY nice. Thanks for being polite to him. He is a good friend. Anyway, I came by today to help you with choosing your Montropolis High classes. I brought the schedule book, forms, and everything. Your mom said it was a good idea so you wouldn't waste a lot of time with this stuff on Monday morning."

Fenton yawned again and sat on the bed, almost missing it. "Okay, come on over and sit down with me. Lets see these things. I normally sleep in on Sunday morning. Why are you up so early?"

Lyle came over and sat very close to the boy. "Mischief," he whispered. "Don't tell anyone..." Then aloud he said, "So... let's get your classes figured out."

The boy grinned. "My bedroom is soundproof, silly. Your whisper isn't going anywhere." He then looked in the schedule book at the classes for each hour. "Is this right, Lyle? Three classes in the morning and three in the afternoon along with a note to speak to Principal Agumon?"

Lyle looked and grinned back. "It is for you. Digimon and Pokemon along with their anime partners participate in a class called Team Fighting. Its where the anime partner and their Digimon or Pokemon work out for grades and improvements. Because you have no partner, you have to speak to Principal Agumon about the free partner card privilege. In other words, you get to go over to the local game store and select three game partners for free from any of the games they offer in there. You will also get a card launcher which is called the Safety Bracer."

Fenton nodded his head quietly. Getting free partner cards and a game bracer sounded pretty awesome to him.

Lyle said, "See anything you want to take?"

The boy began filling out his classes form. "I think I want Digimon History the first hour; Manga Literature the second hour; Anime Math for the third hour; then its lunch; Digital Sciences the fourth hour; and Toon Physics the fifth hour. And then I get to train with my new partners. When we're done and we can come home together."

Lyle grinned and licked the boy's face. "You got that out of the way pretty fast."

Fenton made a face. "Ew! Don't do that, Lyle! I'm a straight boy, but I can be curious if allowed to warm up to people!"

Chapter 08

Arriving in Principal Agumon's office via teleportation through Lyle's personal Digiportal teleportation ability, Lyle introduced Fenton Kornel to the principal. "We need to finalize Fenton's chosen classes before tomorrow morning, sir. And he will need the free partner privilege that you authorize to new students."

Principal Agumon explained as he looked over Fenton's form, "Digital Sciences is filled to capacity in the fourth hour, Fenton. You'll have to take Toon Physics in your fourth hour and take Digital Sciences next year. I am sorry. Aside from that, after getting your free partners, you will need to take Digivice Dynamics in your fifth hour class so you can know how to properly use your card launcher." He then handed over the gift voucher along with a note for the tall Otter Digimon brothers whom worked the game shop on Sunday. "Lyle, take Fenton over next door so he can choose his free partners; and let him make his own choices. I hate hearing how someone coerced a student to jump into a game they personally like. Or do I have to get Lea Kornel to give you the "look" that no one wants to get?"

After that, the two departed the high school and went next door to Back Alley Games. Sure enough, the two sexy male otter digimon studs were standing at the counter. Of course, there were Dream Team owners stocking the support card shelves with updates to popular games.

Fenton showed the otters the note from Agumon and then remarked, "You two look HAWT and I don't mean howdy! Are you wearing shorts behind the counter or am I imagining that you are both naked?"

One otter stud said, "We are wearing shorts, sonny. But in truth, we would rather be at our favorite swimming pool. It is almost too hot for clothes on furry beings. We'll get your card launcher as per Agumon's request. What color would you like? The colors that get challenged the most are Bright Red, Gold, White and Hot Pink. The darker colors permit you more privacy; but it is your choice."

Fenton replied, "I know most people don't like my favorite colors, so listen closely. The overall color of the launcher should be Indigo, meaning Dark Purple, the secondary color should be Terracotta, meaning Pottery Brown while the border around the screen should be a Neon Green that lights up when a card is showcased in the window."

The other otter entered that information into the automatic launcher creation device and which a chime, the new launcher was presented to Fenton. "Put this on your left wrist, card entry slot at the upper portion of your forearm and after you get a partner card, load it into the slot with your right hand, picture side up and head first. That way when you hold up your launcher, the partner is seen upside up instead of looking the other way. When you get a partner, loaded, tap the picture and say the word "Activate". What will follow is the partner appearing in the booth with you to greet you and to share one of his abilities with you. You could get some cool powers this way."

The first otter then added, "Word of advice, partners can be sexy without trying, so try to keep your mind out of the gutter; a straight boy should not be getting a hard on from a sexy male partner. I was reading your aura just now and saw where you told Lyle that you were a straight boy. His friend Drive is the one to ask about safe sex."

Zecma said from nearby, "A real world human boy should not be thinking about sex with toons since his mom has the scary eyes. If consent was gotten first, then that would be a different story. I am checking into that request of yours, Fenton. I have several good leads already. Have fun choosing partners. One should be a dragon."

From a game called Plot Hole, Fenton made a cartoon dragon partner with feline traits and tabby cat like features. He opted for the optional Narrator that would follow the partner around to announce his intentions. The dragon's name was Crazy Dragon. The abilities learned from him were teleportation and flight. The second partner from a game called Hopping Mad was a kangaroo/rabbit hybrid named Bound. The abilities learned from him were empowered jump and enhanced hearing. The last partner from a game called Star Tails was a multi-tailed fox named Flash Rogers. The abilities from him were flash fry vision and safe escape.

Chapter 09

Monday brought forth the first day of school for the boys. Sally and Lea were staying at the farm house, while Winston had already left for work in Mythos Bay. The boys were at the mailbox awaiting their buses. And Fenton was wearing the game launcher that he had gotten the previous day.

Larry grinned when he saw his 'bus' coming. Except it wasn't a bus at all it was a fancy gold limousine. "Looks like I'm riding to school in style, Fenton. I bet you have a clunky old school bus." But Larry was about to lose his smile entirely.

Bounding over the fences came the famous blue furred digimon, Garurumon, and he had a saddle on his back without a rider. "Which one of you boys is Fenton?" he asked.

The boy raised his left hand with a grin. "That's me. But you don't look like a clunky old school bus." Then he winked and made a pointed motion secretly toward his brother.

Garurumon laughed. "I sure hope not, Fenton. I'm your personal daily escort to school from now on. Aren't I the lucky wolf?"

Larry was of course very JEALOUS! Not only did he have to SHARE a ride to school in a gold limousine, but his ride had to stay on the roads. He huffed and got into the gold limousine.

Fenton was still giggling as he climbed up into the saddle on Garurumon and strapped himself in. "Okay, I'm set! Let's go!"

And Garurumon then bounded back over the fences from the direction he had come from, heading south toward Montropolis.

At Montropolis High School, Fenton walked into the otherwise normal looking school building, but on the inside, the hallways was anything BUT normal. There were male and female versions of young anime humans, Pokemon, Digimon and Mobians all milling around to and from their lockers and their class rooms. Many were chatting in the main hallway while the rest simply hung out with their friends.

"This...is...zany," said Fenton as he got over his shock of his school. He then began heading off toward his classes since he had finalized his classes the day before.

Soon it was the lunch hour and Fenton saw a few students challenging each other just outside the lunch room. He skirted the chaos and got inside the cafeteria before anyone could send him a challenge.

Lyle was with his friends at a free table already. The Myrdramon, the Drakogyle, the Two-tailed Kitsune and the Mobian Dark Brown Hedgehog. Fenton got his food and he went over to Lyle and said, "Do I sit with you guys?"

Lyle grinned at him. "Fenton, this is Leather the Drakogyle and he is Drive the Hedgehog. You've met Flicker already. Have a seat."

And Fenton got into position at their table. "I avoided the challenges in the hallway. No sense getting involved in that on the first day and giving my mom the excuse to give everyone the look no one wants to get."

Leather smiled. "Nice to meet you, Fenton. My dad owns and runs the leather goods store in Montropolis. You can get some pretty snazzy motorcycle jackets there, like the one I am wearing."

Chapter 10

Drive smiled at the nice boy. "Since we Mobians are all the time in sexual trouble back home, I am the one to ask any questions you might have about sex in any form, Fenton. Fenton replied, "Sorry to hear that, Drive. That must make it hard to make real friends without getting into the birthing bed with a potentially nice person. You haven't had that accident with these guys, have you?"

Lyle remarked, "I know he hasn't with me. Digimon and Drakogyles lay eggs. Do you have one Leather?"

Leather replied, "I never let him get under my tail. Armored cod pieces are good protection. Flicker?"

Flicker sighed. "Yes, but the young Mobian is being cared for back on Planet Mobius. That is why he explained to you what could happen if you got frisky with him, Fenton. While I am Mobian, Drive is the sex expert."

Lyle nodded. "If you don't want that experience, then keep your butt hole covered when you are with a Mobian. Some Mobians cannot think of anything but sex when the target is a cute sexy boy. But for the most part, Drive is a friendly and helpful hedgehog."

At that moment, the male anime human instructor known as Mendelssohn approached their table. "Fenton? I heard you had taken my class. May I examine your card launcher, please. I need to make sure the safeties are indeed activated on it. The shop owners should have done this, but sometimes they forget when it is a hot day."

The boy held up his left arm into an upright position so the teacher could look at it. In the primary position in the card window was Crazy Dragon with a goofy smile on his feline dragon snout.

Mendelssohn said, "You have a Plot Hole partner. I don't know many people whom play that game. It is not very popular." He tested the window for that partner and it passed the test. Then he switched it to number two. "Ah, Hopping Mad. There are quite a few college players of this game. I don't know about here in Montropolis High." He then tested the window for that partner and it also passed the test. Then he switched it to number three. "Star Tails. Flicker must have impressed you when you met him. Or Miles did." However, the last one failed the safety test. And the teacher then pulled out his repair kit and worked on securing Flash Rogers so he didn't cause a horrible accident later on. "What abilities did Flash share with you, Fenton?"

Fenton replied, "Something called flash fry vision and safe escape. Did he make a mistake?"

Mendelssohn stated, "Flash Fry Vision is nothing short of the X-Man Cyclops' laser from the eyes power. Unlike him, you seem to have the safe version of that ability. Safe Escape allows you to return to your starting point if you ever get stuck in any of the digital worlds, and not just Digimon worlds either. However, I am going to grant you a third ability from that game since most partners forget that players cannot take hits like they can. I will authorize you to have Reflection Uniform, which is like a flexible armored laser proof uniform that will automatically take the place of your normal clothes whenever someone challenges Flash to a fight."

He then put his tools away. "Star Tails had not been secured and I fixed that. And I gave you the defense ability. See most of you boys in Digivice Dynamics." And Mendelssohn walked away.

Lyle then said, "He is right. I cannot think of anyone in school whom has a Plot Hole partner. What of you guys?"

The other three friends all shook their heads no. They couldn't think of a single person whom played that game.
