The Drakogyles soldier grunts, the annoying distraction; but very skilled.

Thousands of years ago, the Draconian empire ruled over the ancient Earth until five specially endowed young adults (teenagers) utilizing magical weapons hidden away by the good dragons banished the evil Draconians to Dimensional Limbo. It is now 1995, two years after the defeat of Lord Din'grr, the Draconian Empire escapes from their imprisonment to re-conquer the Earth. Again, five special humans must come together to fight against them and banish them back to Dimensional Limbo.

With the way of the magic and the spirit of the pure, the fight to defend good versus evil begins anew in Dorado Bay as eight well-trained humans are given the belts of defense to become the new fighters against dragon kind. These human students will become the Ninja Dragon Rangers and the Fighting Dragon Riders!

Chapter One: Time and Time Again.

    Dorado Bay, California; 1995 A.D.

The nearby radio was playing a catchy tune while the action on the sand commenced. "~There's nothing like a day out on the beach, when all it does is rain; You need somebody else to make the sun come out again; When you find that special someone, you never expected to; It'll make you believe in magic it could change your life for you...~"

And at that moment a horde of leathery gargoyle humanoids with armor plated shirts and swords swarmed the beach causing many of the crowd to disperse and run. All except three teenagers who had been playing volleyball. When the Seminole male with black hair saw what was coming he spiked the volleyball directly into the monster's face.

"Monsters, guys!" shouted Lo. "No one intrudes on our volleyball game!"

"~Talk about friends, friends, friends... knockin' at your door, friends, friends, friends; That's what friends are for... (friends if you're young or old,) everybody needs friends, friends, friends...~"

"Look out, Oyuki!" shouted the natural red-headed Irish born female as she did the splits and struck one of the attacking Drakogyles directly in the pelvis.

"~Now, friends, friends, friends... its what it's all about; Friends, friends, friends...~"

The Chinese born female did some acrobatic flips and leaped into the air with a martial arts stance as she kicked two of the lizard like creatures in the side of their heads. "I'm on top of it, guys! Something tells me they didn't expect a few humans to fight back!"

"~You gotta know that friends won't let you down, you gotta have friends, friends, frie-~" And the rest was silenced when one of the monstrous goons fell on top of the musical emission box.

Lo growled, "Hey! Radios are not cheap around here! You'll pay for that!"

And then the fight against the monsters got very serious indeed. While there was music playing, they were pulling most of their punches. But kill their music source and hoo boy... they fought hard.

From the top of the wooden deck overlooking the beach, a tall slender draconian alchemist stood as he watched his test minions getting their scales handed to them by three totally unprotected young humans. "They aren't even wearing armor nor using swords. Yet they are still beating our forces. I cannot understand this. The rest of the humans fled, but not these three. Perhaps I should get involved now. These humans want a real workout... I can give them one."

And he opened his wings and made the leap over the railing down toward the beach where he fired off what felt like bolts of lightning which through the three teens prone to the ground, semi paralyzed.

They were then picked up and held by the Drakogyles while the alchemist landed nearby and after folding his wings properly, he walked over to examine the three teenagers.

"Very interesting..." he started as he slowly examined the three teen-aged humans in swim trunks and bikinis. "...no powers and no magical aid. Yet fought better than the most equipped armies we have ever seen. Who are you people?"

Kala piped up at that point. "We're teenagers, of course! And you interrupted our Volleyball game and crushed our radio!"

Lo was more reserved since Oyuki was not talking, "I'm Lo and that is Kala and this girl is Oyuki. Just who are you?"

The slender draconian alchemist replied as he leaned in close to Lo's face. "I am Weyrlock Krystalshard, head wizard and scientist of Dragon King Sunstriker's Royal Army. I was testing my enhanced Drakogyles on a practice outing and suddenly... you three begin taking them down as if they weren't seasoned warriors. Which they are."

"What did you season them with?" asked Oyuki now finding her voice, yet she was annoyed. "Paprika?"

Weyrlock hummed as he focused on the boy alone. Especially since the male was the only one of the three choosing to be civil. "Please note that I said I was the head researcher. I am not an advanced scout nor am I one of the Generals who will likely be coming soon. However..." He paused with a smile. "...I am interested in learning more about how 'teenagers', you said, can defeat warrior dragons so easily even though you are nearly naked. Bring them, my pets. We now return to the labs."

Lo quickly spoke up. "Wait!" He lowered his voice and quickly said, "Allow us to grab our bags at least. They contain our clothes. We normally don't run around undressed like this. The beach permits it, but if you intend to take us elsewhere, please permit our getting dressed first. Otherwise we might die from the cold of your labs and then you would have nothing to study."

The alchemist hummed. "Very well. I want to study you three while you live. You may pick up your bags. But honor your capture like civil folk should."

Lo shot a glance at the girls and mouthed, 'Play along.'

    End of Chapter One.

    Chapter Two: Incompetent Patience.

Within a secluded canyon, a red dragon champion encountered a lone human male wearing a motorcycle helmet, a black leather jacket over a red tee shirt, blue jeans, and faded grey sneakers. The human had been practicing a fighting maneuver in private that the dragon had never seen before. Thinking this was one of the human king's elite knights, he launched his attack on the young man. Except... the human was not making it that easy for the dragon at all.

"Hold still, rotten deregh!" shouted the red dragon as he took a swipe at the human leaping through the air who landed on his feet after doing a mid air somersault.

"And let you muss up my jacket?" replied the young man in defiance. "Honor dictates that I say no to that request! Besides, my mother would kill me if I came home with ripped clothing!" He dove out of the way of another claw strike starting to get fed up with being the monster's target. "Time to stop being on the defensive and throw some offense at this guy."

When the dragon whipped around to glare at where the young man went, he got smacked directly in the eyes with the branch of a tree limb which the human had bent back in preparation for the monster. "OW! My eyes! You'll pay for that! Just wait until I catch you!"

While the dragon was stunned, the young man made a run for where he had parked his motorcycle. "It hasn't been fun, scaly! I won't be practicing at this locale next time and you better not even think about hunting me down, either!" In one leap, he landed on the seat of his motorcycle, pulled up the kickstand, and turned the ignition bringing the motorcycle to life as he sped off and out of the canyon at high speed.

The red dragon champion wasn't about to let his new opponent get away that easily as he opened his wings and took to the sky in hot pursuit of the young man on the strange wheeled device. "I'm still behind you, deregh!"

"Then let's play follow the leader!" the young man shouted. "Where I go, you go! And if you veer off, then you lose!"

"You are so on, human! Lead the way and I'll catch you!"

The motorcycle sped through a weedy patch of skunk cabbage which kicked up the scent as it went through... so when the dragon came along the same path... he get a face full of the odor. Then the young man steered his motorcycle into a low clearance tunnel through the mountain, which made the dragon quickly dive down flying merely inches above the roadway in the tunnel. There was no room for a sudden accident in there. But somewhere in the dark of the tunnel the dragon seemed to lose sight of the black motorcycle and suddenly, the red dragon emerged from the other side and saw that he somehow had lost the human and his strange vehicle.

"What the?" He was hovering in mid-air as he arced his head to listen for the sound. But there was nothing. "There is no way he could have gotten away that quickly! I will find you, deregh! You and I will have our day soon and on that day, we will fight again!" And he slowly climbed in elevation to get a better aerial view of the area to see if he could see the young man any place.

Unseen by the dragon, the young man was pushing his motorcycle (which he had turned off after he made a sharp left into a service access in the roadway tunnel) down an underground tunnel which he was glad he knew where it led. "Glad I know this region better than that monster does. He sounded mad once he lost me. Where can I practice for the upcoming martial arts tournament now?"

    Bernie's Biker Bar

The young man entered and sat down at the counter. "Hey Bernie... you better give me a drink; I just fought a red scaly monster over in Lucky Canyon. Just barely gave him the slip."

Bernie, the owner of the roadside biker bar, glanced over at the young man and said, "Beer or cola?"

"Surprise me. Not like you could since I fought that guy." Bernie slid the mix over to the young man. "Knock yourself out, kid." After taking a drink, the young man glanced around at the near empty biker establishment. "Say Bernie... where is everyone? You usually have over forty ruffians on hand around this time of the day." Bernie shook his head. "You couldn't have heard being out at the canyon, but the Governor declared the whole region as a State of Emergency since the bizarre attacks on civilians in several towns and cities around the area. That thing you fought... well, it's one of them. Everyone was ordered to go home and lock themselves down to prepare for the worst."

"Look, I gotta practice for the upcoming martial arts tournament and I have to practice somewhere with clean air. And I am not about to let a bunch of monsters interrupt my schedule just because they want to fight me. I don't have time for them and that's that. Besides, the wise general weighs in the factors of his opponents before initiating a campaign of good versus evil. And I don't know all of the factors involved in everything that's going on. All I do know is that red dragon creature is steamed at me for my giving him the slip in Thompsons Tunnel."

"Thompsons Tunnel is full of hidey holes," chuckled Bernie as he watched the young man finish off his drink. "It's no wonder you lost that dragon. But you need to be careful; he is going to return."

The young man exited the biker bar and got back on his ride. He no sooner has the visor closed when he saw the red dragon flying into view. "You gotta be kidding me. How did he find me so fast?" He started up his motorcycle and sped off down the highway in the opposite direction. The red dragon grinned when he saw the jacket in question and gave chase immediately. "Give it up already, dragon!" shouted the young man as he continued on down the mountain highway. "I have no treasures you would want! Just let me go practice somewhere in private!" And he continued on his way regardless if he heard a reply or not.

    End of Chapter Two.

      Chapter Three: Escape, Escape, Escape.

"A fine pickle to be in," said Kala as she and her friends stood in the stone room with a barred window in the only door leading out. "At least they let us get dressed. It IS kinda drafty in here for some reason. Hey Lo... any luck finding a secret door? Did you make your saving throw versus stupid monster mechanics?"

She then saw what had Oyuki's and Lo's attention. It was a rug on the floor of their cell and it was apparently covering something up... something with a perfectly square waffle like impression.

Lo mouthed, 'They stupidly built their holding cell on top of the air intake shaft over the Cascade Mines. All we gotta do is open this grate and climb down into the mines to make our escape. By the time they notice we're out and won't know how we did it, we'll be long gone.'

With the rug moved aside, it took all three of them to open the heavy iron grate to reveal the air intake shaft into the old mines. It was far too skinny for a Drakogyle or Krystalshard to get into, so it was this way or no way. Fortunately, there was an old ladder built into one side of the shaft so they could climb down. Lo just hoped it would support their weight as they made their descent into the darkness. They needed to get out of there as fast as possible.

"Careful of the spider webs, guys," said Lo. "We're almost to the bottom."

Kala remarked, "I'm glad you went first, laddie. I hate spiders."

Oyuki stated, "But they make silk."

At the bottom, the three were then on the run down the tunnel. Just ahead examining the tunnel were three dragon scouts who were discussing their most recent find.

"This chamber seems like it would make for a good rebel base in our fight against Sunstriker," stated Golosurpalax.

"Indeed it would," remarked Skarantharyx in reply as she cocked her head to imagine how things could be within the chamber.

Just then, the three human friends ran right by the legs of the humanoid dragons making short comments as they passed. "Pardon us." "Excuse us." "Coming through."

"I think we should-" Vincaghalamiir started to say before stopping and turning her head to look after the three humans who just passed them. "Humans. By the urgency of their speed, I would say they just escaped from one of Sunstriker's soldiers."

Skara (her shortened name) said, "I have an idea, comrades. Let us take flight and pick up those three humans and fly them out of dragon territory. Once we have them safely within range of their home village, we will see about forging an alliance with them. Our ex-leader did say we should align ourselves with humans if we stood any chance against Sunstriker and his forces."

Golo (his shortened name) replied, "A formidable suggestion, Skara. Let us make it so. Coming Vinca?"

Vinca (her shortened name) smiled. "But of course. Plus, it should be fun. I will grab the golden skinned one with black hair. You both go for your own genders and please keep your minds out of the gutter. This is serious business."

Lo and the others had come to a stop at the edge of a precipice overlooking a black pit. "How do we get across this, guys?"

And in the next high speed instant, all three humans were grabbed by lightning movement as the three dragons flew through the scene!

Two of Sunstriker's guards outside of the mines were surprised suddenly when Golosurpalax, Skarantharyx, and Vincaghalamiir flew out of the mines past them and off over the neighboring hill at breakneck speed. "What in the Flaming Pits of Hades?!" "That was the rebel dragons! Sound the alarm!"

A fog horn like series of alarms began sounding just behind the three soaring dragons. "Sounds like we were seen, comrades. Perhaps that mine wasn't such a good rebel base after all. Oh well, we'll find something better."

Lo slowly opened his eyes and saw that he was firmly held in mid air by what felt like a very secure set of claws around his torso and waist. "We're not dead?"

"Who were you running from, human?" asked Golo as he focused on the skies and forest they were flying through. "Weyrlock Krystalshard," replied Oyuki. "He had us in a holding cell which he stupidly built over an air intake shaft that led down into the mines. Once we realized where the shaft went, we made our escape into the mines. Then we saw you three and decided to pull a cartoon maneuver to get by the three of you. And it worked."

Skara grinned. "Don't worry, you three... we're taking you home. We're not with Weyrlock nor Sunstriker. We're actually part of the rebellion. There aren't many of us left in all honesty. Our ex-leader told us that we should ally with humans if we wanted any chance of defeating Sunstriker. And you three humans are the first ones we've ever seen."

Kala hummed. "So you're thinking that if you ally with us, we would help you push back Sunstriker." Golo chuckled, "That's what we're hoping. I just hope Sygax and the others are keeping themselves out of trouble. As we said, there aren't many of us left."

      End of Chapter Three.

Chapter Four: Nowhere to Go; Nowhere to Hide.

The young man on the motorcycle had finally made a mistake when he rode his bike into a cul-de-sac gully with no apparent exit save back past the red dragon who was landing to block the only way out. So he dismounted and took his helmet off and allowed it to hang from the handlebars. He then turned on a music source (his MP3 player) and then he stepped out into the open and struck his beginning stance. "I don't want to fight you, dragon. But I do need to finish my practice session before my mother calls me on my cellphone and tells me to come home."

The red dragon champion smacked one dragon fist into his opposing hand. "Long has the chase been and I seek to spar with you, knight. Reveal your sword and let us begin."

The young man made a face. "I don't pull out my sword for boys, let alone for monsters like you. Besides, I don't think you could handle it." He made a slow movement and then he stopped in perfect positioning. "Why do you want to see my sword? Surely you aren't... that way... are you?"

"Pull out your sword this second or else I will bake you alive where you stand!"

What happened next was not what the dragon was expecting as the young man unzipped his pants and whipped out his 'sword' and what a large one it was too. "Satisfied?" he asked with an annoyed voice.

The red dragon made a face as he was silent for a moment. Then he started laughing, before falling on the ground and continuing to laugh.

"Another foe falls before the might of my 'sword'," the young man said. "And I didn't even have to use it this time." He put it away and zipped up his pants. "Now if you don't mind, I have to finish my training session." And he made another slow movement with his arms and legs in a peculiar position.

Slowly lifting his head to look at the young man with a smile, the red dragon said, "Aye, you have given me a good chuckle, sir knight. You have earned my name. I am Sygaxaerapalos. My close friends call me Sygax. And what can I call you?"

The young man continued to practice without looking at the dragon. "I am not a knight; I'm a teenager. Name's Jet Chung. I know you were expecting a real sword, but I don't own one. They cost too much. Not to mention, most of them are merely for show anyway. The good ones aren't even made anymore."

"You own no weapon at all?" asked Sygax as he slowly rose to a seated position to watch the human practice.

"My hands are my weapons; my wits are my shield. That's what my sensei, Zim Loo, tells me. Heaven knows, he has beaten my ass enough times when I thought he wouldn't notice me coming at him with a club or a makeshift weapon. And the man was usually blindfolded. Personally I think he had a hole in the blindfold. But I have learned a lot from him." He looked at the dragon directly. "If I had pulled a real sword, what would you have done?"

"Judging that you pulled the other one out of your trousers, I likely would have wondered where you had the sword stashed at." The red dragon chuckled again. "But I merely wanted to spar with you. You are a slippery one. I don't know how I lost you in that tunnel."

"Thompsons Tunnel has several side tunnels too skinny for a big dragon like you. I simply rode my bike into one and turned off the motor. After you flew by, I exited through a lesser known tunnel."

Sygax said, "I am with the dragon rebellion who are fighting against Dragon King Sunstriker. Our ex-leader, Gong, told us that we should ally with humans if we were to ever succeed."

"And what is a Sunstriker?" Jet inquired as he continued to practice his martial art stances.

At that moment, a very large red and black dragon landed just behind Sygax on top of one of the gully's ridges. "So... this is where you went, Sygaxaerapalos! Why don't you just surrender right now so I don't have to kill you in front of this peasant?" Jet stepped around to stand in front of the red dragon. "This 'peasant' as you call me... defeated Sygaxaerapalos fair and square with hands and wit. He belongs to me and you cannot have him."

"YOU?! You defeated HIM?!" exclaimed the large dragon loudly. Then like Sygax had earlier, he fell backward on his back laughing uncontrollably. Jet was already mounting his motorcycle as he whispered, "Let's get out of here, Sygax." "You don't have to tell me twice. You lead; I'll follow." And the two barreled out of the gully, one on the motorcycle; the other in flight albeit low to the ground so as to not alert the dragon king immediately as to which direction they went. "I assume that was a Sunstriker?" "Oh yeah..."

"So where are we going anyway?" asked Sygax. "The only place I can think of that would house someone your size... its an old walled estate just outside of Dorado Bay with large buildings. I've hidden out there before when I was younger. My sensei is the caretaker there, but he is a bit eccentric at times. He has a pet lizard. He is both a sensei as well as a magician, or so he says."

"Maybe a magician is just what we rebel dragons need right now, Jet. Lead the way."

Soon, boy and dragon arrived at the walled estate where Jet slowed down and Sygax opened the gates for the two of them to enter before closing the gates behind them. They proceeded up the drive and they both came to a halt as they saw something awaiting them just in front of the large buildings. It was the other Rebel Dragons along with Lo, Oyuki, and Kala. And standing to the side was the eccentric old man. Jet politely said, "Um... hello again, sir. I felt that I didn't have a choice but to bring my friend here. He needs a place to... hide... what are they doing here? Friends of yours, Sygax?" "Yeah... the other Rebel Dragons. I don't know who the humans are." "I do."

          Chapter Five: Alliances Forged.

"Hello coward," came the rather snide remark from Jet looking unhappy to see the others there at all.

"Of all the inexcusable lame encounters I could have..." replied Lo. "...and it has to be Mr. Tournament Ego."

"At least I'm not the one who has to hide behind two girls." "I'll bet you ran from your dragon at first. We fought against the evil scouts and were winning until the scientist cheated with that breath attack. I wish I could say he needed a mint."

Sygax smirked with a wink at his comrades. "Nailed hard. He did run from the first encounter. In fact, he refused to fight me. And in the second encounter..."

"SHUT UP, SYGAX!" came Jet's annoyed growl.

Vinca grinned. "You can tell us later in dragon speak."

Kala remarked, "Now wait just a minute! We might want to know what happened in the second encounter and I think Sygax would be honest about it!"

Jet shot the Irish female a dirty look when she said that while keeping his sister Oyuki well within his sight.

Lo chuckled but said nothing; he and Jet argued enough.

The sensei magician known as Zim Loo rolled his eyes up at the sky, then he looked to Oyuki. "Are you sure you want to form an alliance here with the likes of this rabble?"

Oyuki quietly commented, "We were fine until that evil dragon smashed our radio. So my friends are all still uptight over their involvement today. But you are right... we need to stop them from ripping each other apart. If we're to have an alliance, we must learn to work together." She then pulled a coach's whistle out of her shirt and blew it. "FWEET!" And when the group shut up, she said, "Now that I have your attention, guys, Zim would like to arrange our alliance links with our dragons. The dragons do need a place to hide but staying here isn't exactly safe for them nor safe for us since these dragons were last seen with us. Therefore, Zim will explain the rest." She gestured to the eccentric gentleman of magic.

Zim sighed as he rapped his staff once before starting. "I am not just a magician as the locals think I am, but as Jet well knows, I am the Sensei of the Fighting Ninja Dragons Dojo. The radiance of the holy sphere is represented by the color of silver. Hence, I am the Fighting Panda known as the Silver Dragon Rider when empowered properly. For the dragons knowledge... your ex-leader, Gaulnyreoz or for the humans present his shortened name of Gong, came to me some time ago and he and I linked up to prepare for Sunstriker's arrival. Now, for this alliance to work, each dragon will need to be spiritually linked into their human partner. After you are linked, you will share all of your knowledge, so I hope you teenagers remembered to have clean thoughts up until now. And the same hopes for the dragons. This will include combat and magic knowledge. However, such an alliance should not end there, when King Sunstriker chooses to strike, the Rebel Alliance should rise to the challenge as the new Fighting Dragons of Dorado Bay. And for this..."

He held up a briefcase and opened it to reveal... black leather belts with shining golden buckles which had a colored jewel set in the center of the golden relief. "These are your Ninja Dragon Ranger Belts. To use them, you wear them around your waist and when you are ready to transform, you touch the buckles with your left hand which will make your dojo necklaces appear. Then you raise your left hand in front of your chest and say, Ninja Animal. Replace the word 'Animal' with your favorite animal. I am the Panda. When your dragon's element erupts beneath you, it will project you up into a transformation chamber of sorts in mid air where you say, Ranger Dragon. This will be followed by your full scale transformation sequence as well as the appearance of your special Dragon Zords and Motorcycles. Your Power Ranger uniforms will then appear over your bodies and then your dragons will seem to overlap with your bodies briefly where upon your helmets will appear on your heads. As you land, you will strike your finishing pose and say, Color Dragon Ranger! Again replace 'Color' with the color of your dragon."

Zim smiled at this point. "But in order to power these transformation belts, your dragon partners must touch them after you first put them on." He handed the red jeweled belt to Jet; the white jeweled belt to Lo; the blue jeweled belt to Kala; and the gold jeweled belt to Oyuki. "When the other Rebel Dragons choose to join up, bring them and their human partners to me and I will set them up with their belts and necklaces. Oh! One more thing before you go power happy... as an added ability, you and your dragon partners will be able to step inside of each other when one form is more needed than the other. So when the humans need to be human, the dragons may rest inside of their partners; but when you need your partner's forms, they may step out of you and you may step inside of them to permit them to do their thing. A shared existence not to mention shared resistances. As well as health and power. Okay, my friends. I want you to show me what you can do."

Sygax grinned at Jet, but then noticed that the boy was sticking the belt into his backpack. "Hey! I thought you and I were going to be partners!" Jet said, "I only agreed to bring you here, Sygax. I work alone."

"Then give the belt back to Zim since you obviously don't need it."

Everyone was now looking at him. Jet shrugged his shoulders as he pulled it out and handed it back to Zim. "Sorry, sensei. I don't play the hero. I have a tournament to focus on. Take care of Sygax; I get the feeling Sunstriker will be looking for him again." And he went over to his motorcycle and put his helmet back on. Lo felt he had to say something in parting at this point. "So when true justice is called... the martial arts champion flees from responsibility. So go on and win your trophy, Jet. Since you think a reward is worth far more than being a hero, just get out of here like the true coward you are; your sister has far more courage than you do."

"The wise general weighs in all factors before he chooses a side, Lo," Jet replied before starting his motorcycle, speeding down the driveway and out of sight. Sygax chuckled. "He'll be back. I've seen his sword."

          End of Chapter Five.

Chapter Six: Time to Suit Up.

"What a real prick!" exclaimed Kala. "A chance to save the world and he chooses a gold plated cup over being a hero! I thought I knew him better than that!"

Oyuki replied, "As Sygax said, he will be back. If Dragon King Sunstriker saw those two together the last time they were out and about, then my brother will be Sunstriker's target. He will return to swallow his words. I suggest we focus on allying ourselves with our partners. Sorry you don't get to participate this first time, Sygax. But you will be safe here with Zim in the meantime."

Sygax smiled. "It is okay. By watching you guys, I can learn how to do it for when I get my chance. See? I can be smart."

The three teenagers put their belts on around their waists and their dragon partners touched the buckles and in a flash, they all three vanished from sight.

"HEY!" shouted the red dragon in surprise. "Where did my dragon friends go?!"

Before Zim could explain, Vinca stuck her head out of Oyuki's chest. "We're fine, Sygax. Touching the buckles simply brings us inside our human partners." And she pulled her head back inside leaving Oyuki with an odd look on her face. "I hope she doesn't do that in front of my mother."

Lo Cheh touched his buckle with his left hand which caused his Dojo Necklace to appear, before he made some martial arts moves and stopped in a perfectly executed pose. "Ninja Unicorn!" His Dojo Necklace floated up, hovering before his face and glowed brightly. "Ranger Dragon!" A sudden blast of wind erupted beneath him and projected him up into a transformation chamber just out of sight. His dragon uniform of silver with white racing stripes appeared from his ankles up his legs and torso, then from the hands and arms, and finishing around his neck, along with his boots and his gloves. Then another eruption of wind sent him further into the air where Golosurpalax seemed to appear in an overlay over his body briefly as his white dragon helmet appeared on his head, as the dark visor formed over his eyes. Then he landed on the ground where the image of his White Dragon Unicorn Cycle appeared briefly behind him, as a special effect explosion of storm clouds and lightning erupted behind him. And as a gold metallic Chinese zodiac wheel appeared on his chest, his Power Lance appeared in his grasp. An illumination like a rising suns rays shot up from behind him bathing him in the power of good and justice. "White Dragon Ranger!"

Kala Mang touched her buckle with her left hand which caused her Dojo Necklace to appear, before she made some martial arts moves and stopped in a perfectly executed pose. "Ninja Shark!" Her Dojo Necklace floated up, hovering before her face and glowed brightly. "Ranger Dragon!" A sudden blast of water erupted beneath her and projected her up into a transformation chamber just out of sight. Her dragon uniform of silver with blue racing stripes appeared from her ankles up her legs and torso, then from the hands and arms, and finishing around her neck, along with her boots and her gloves. Then another eruption of water sent her further into the air where Skarantharyx seemed to appear in an overlay over her body briefly as her blue dragon helmet appeared on her head, as the dark visor formed over her eyes. Then she landed on the ground where the image of her Blue Dragon Shark Cycle appeared briefly behind her, as a special effect explosion of watery geysers firing into the sky erupted behind her. And as a gold metallic Chinese zodiac wheel appeared on her chest, her Power Fan appeared in her grasp. An illumination like a rising suns rays shot up from behind her bathing her in the power of good and justice. "Blue Dragon Ranger!"

Oyuki Chung touched her buckle with her left hand which caused her Dojo Necklace to appear, before she made some martial arts moves and stopped in a perfectly executed pose. "Ninja Grizzly!" Her Dojo Necklace floated up, hovering before her face and glowed brightly. "Ranger Dragon!" A sudden blast of earth erupted beneath her and projected her up into a transformation chamber just out of sight. Her dragon uniform of silver with gold racing stripes appeared from her ankles up her legs and torso, then from the hands and arms, and finishing around her neck, along with her boots and her gloves. Then another eruption of earth sent her further into the air where Vincaghalamiir seemed to appear in an overlay over her body briefly as her gold dragon helmet appeared on her head, as the dark visor formed over her eyes. Then she landed on the ground where the image of her Gold Dragon Grizzly Cycle appeared briefly behind her, as a special effect explosion of a rising mesa arose in the background behind her. And as a gold metallic Chinese zodiac wheel appeared on her chest, her Power Pika Hammer appeared in her grasp. An illumination like a rising suns rays shot up from behind her bathing her in the power of good and justice. "Gold Dragon Ranger!"

Lo exclaimed, "I like the fancy designs on our uniforms. We're talking real style here."

Golo smirked mentally, Would you expect less from a dragon? We have real taste.

Kala smiled. "I like how glittery my uniform looks. Reminds me of native Ireland in the morning dew."

I like how that sounds myself, Kala, mentally remarked Skara.

"Adequate, I suppose," stated Oyuki. "Thankfully I have a skirt. My mother would flip if I didn't."

Vinca hummed mentally. So you are the princess type. I should have known. You need to learn how to live a little.

Don't be a Kala, Vinca, mentally replied Oyuki in annoyance.

Skara mentally said to Vinca in uber private dragon-speak, /Kala just told me that Oyuki's bedroom was decorated as if a princess lived there. If this is true, I feel really sorry for you./ Vinca just as privately in return said, /Now I regret telling Golo to keep his mind out of the gutter./

/He never does as you say anyway; why would he start now?/

Zim chuckled as he rapped his staff on the ground once again. "I would suggest you power down now and head either home or back to the beach to see if you can salvage your day or check in with loved ones. If you encounter evil dragons, transform and teach them a lesson. Your dragon uniforms will make you immune to dragon breath weapons only..."

            End of Chapter Six.

Chapter Seven: A Day at the Beach... Again.

Zim then continued, "Don't take chances against any other dragon weapons since we don't know what they may do to you. In the meantime, I will contact a few of my other Dojo graduates and see how many would like to be a hero."

The three teenagers powered down once again and then Lo said, "I'd like to return to the beach and see about salvaging our radio. If Weyrlock's Drakogyles hadn't broken our radio, we wouldn't have kicked their rumps as badly as we did."

Oyuki nodded her head. "I totally agree, Lo. There is still a pretty afternoon left. And if Weyrlock shows up a second time, we will kick his butt this time."

Kala on the other claw was thinking something else. "Guys? I think I'll just head on home. At least one of us should check in with our parents to alleviate any fears over their losing their children to monsters during the crisis. And while I'm home, I can drop a hint about hearing that the Power Rangers were seen in Dorado Bay."

Zim remarked, "I think that is an excellent idea, Kala. If the public thinks the Power Rangers arrived to help get rid of the monsters, they wouldn't be as worried over the state of emergency. Just don't end up under house arrest; it is hard to be a ranger when you cannot leave home. As for you others, look for Eugene Hammel and Lori Roman. They usually scuba dive off of Dorado Point near to where you guys play volleyball. When you see them, make sure they get these two Ninja belts. Green for Eugene and Pink for Lori."

Kala waved goodbye to her friends as she made her way homeward, while Lo and Oyuki departed the Dojo and headed for Dorado Beach to salvage their summer equipment.

              Dorado Beach

When Lo and Oyuki arrived at the beach, they quickly found Eugene and Lori playing volleyball with their volleyball while a green dragon and a pink dragon sat together in the background watching the two play. "Eugene! Lori!" exclaimed Lo. "Zim Loo told us to find you guys!"

Eugene replied, "We found your volleyball and your smashed radio and we knew something bad had happened to you. What does Zim want with us?"

Oyuki approached the two humans and the dragons and she explained what the process for becoming Power Rangers was. "Zim said we were the area's only hope for beating Sunstriker's evil dragons and Weyrlock's Drakogyles." And then Vinca made herself seen as she had before to the two dragons. "Lama, Ringer! Gong is helping Zim Loo! We can trust these humans!" She then pulled her head back inside her partner's chest.

The Green Dragon called Llamarunpalar, apparently Lama for short, came over to Eugene was the young man put on the green jeweled belt and he touched the jewel causing him to vanish into the boy's body. The Pink Dragon called Jharseringeir, apparently Ringer which sounded like Ren-jer for short, came over to Lori and she touched the jewel causing her to vanish into the girl's body. No sooner had the two Rebel Dragons did this, when a troop of Drakogyles arrived at the beach with one of Sunstriker's generals watching from the railing next to the roadway. Lo and Oyuki said, "Follow our lead, guys! These are the schmucks that broke our radio!"

Lo Cheh touched his buckle with his left hand which caused his Dojo Necklace to appear, before he made some martial arts moves and stopped in a perfectly executed pose. "Ninja Unicorn!" His Dojo Necklace floated up, hovering before his face and glowed brightly. "Ranger Dragon!" The Drakogyles leaped to the attack against the teenagers turned rangers aiming to deal out payback to the humans who so easily defeated them before without a stitch of armor nor with any weapons at all. This time however, Lo was using his new Power Lance while Oyuki utilized her new Power Pika Hammer. And while Lo was choosing not to use the point of the lance, he was using the lance like a club which worked just as well. Oyuki was using the hammer in a meaningful manner with under swings directly into the scaled monster's groins.

But as more Drakogyles arrived on the scene, Eugene looked to Lori. "I think we should help our friends, Lori. But I wonder where the red ranger is?"

Lori said, "I was wondering that too, Eugene. I also noticed the absence of a blue ranger. I wonder if they were captured already."

The Drakogyles leaped to grab the two teenagers who had been watching only to get a blast of leaves and vines in their faces from Eugene's chest as Lama pulled his head back into his chest. Ringer's breath weapon caused explosions to knock the Drakogyles backwards on their butts before she pulled her head back inside Lori's chest. Eugene said, "Let's do it, Lori! I am no target to any dragon!" Lori replied, "I'm with you!"

Chapter Eight: Let's Make a Deal.

Eugene Hammel touched his buckle with his left hand which caused his Dojo Necklace to appear, before he made some martial arts moves and stopped in a perfectly executed pose. "Ninja Dragon!" His Dojo Necklace floated up, hovering before his face and glowed brightly. "Ranger Dragon!" A sudden eruption of vines and leaves beneath him projected him up into a transformation chamber just out of sight. His dragon uniform of silver with green racing stripes appeared from his ankles up his legs and torso, then from the hands and arms, and finishing around his neck, along with his boots and his gloves. Then another eruption of vines and leaves sent him further into the air where Llamarunpalar seemed to appear in an overlay over his body briefly as his green dragon helmet appeared on his head, as the dark visor formed over his eyes. Then he landed on the ground where the image of his Green Dragon Cycle appeared briefly behind him, as a special effect explosion of storm clouds and lightning erupted behind him. And as a gold metallic Chinese zodiac wheel appeared on his chest, his Dragon Sword appeared in his grasp. An illumination like a rising suns rays shot up from behind him bathing him in the power of good and justice. "Green Dragon Ranger!"

Lori Roman touched her buckle with her left hand which caused her Dojo Necklace to appear, before she made some martial arts moves and stopped in a perfectly executed pose. "Ninja Panther!" Her Dojo Necklace floated up, hovering before her face and glowed brightly. "Ranger Dragon!" A sudden blast of lightning erupted beneath her and projected her up into a transformation chamber just out of sight. Her dragon uniform of silver with pink racing stripes appeared from her ankles up her legs and torso, then from the hands and arms, and finishing around her neck, along with her boots and her gloves. Then another eruption of lightning sent her further into the air where Jharseringeir seemed to appear in an overlay over her body briefly as her pink dragon helmet appeared on her head, as the dark visor formed over her eyes. Then she landed on the ground where the image of her Pink Dragon Panther Cycle appeared briefly behind her, as a special effect explosion of a rising mesa arose in the background behind her. And as a gold metallic Chinese zodiac wheel appeared on her chest, her Great Dragon Bow appeared in her grasp. An illumination like a rising suns rays shot up from behind her bathing her in the power of good and justice. "Pink Dragon Ranger!"

With the two new rangers assisting Lo and Oyuki, the Drakogyles were pushed back. The Black Dragon General glared at the rangers and instead of attacking them as Weyrlock had, he gathered up the Drakogyles and they flew off together.

Lo exclaimed, "That was a Dragon General? Their chief researcher did more than this guy did!" Oyuki nodded her head. "You're right! Let's gather our gear and get out of here! We need to return to Zim's Dojo! I am worried about Kala and Jet; I know you don't care about my brother but he is going to come back. Not to mention, Sygax owes us a story about my brother's encounter with him."

A Lone Canyon Just Outside of Dorado Bay

Jet was once again on the receiving end of a dragon attack as Sunstriker had tracked him down and was having the same trouble getting a claw on the boy that Sygax had earlier that day. But unlike Sygax, Sunstriker noted that the boy was trying to reach his wheeled device. With a blast of acidic fire, the motorcycle erupted in a spectacular fireball sending bike parts all over the canyon! "Now you cannot run from me at all, human!" exclaimed the red and black dragon. "Surrender Sygax to me and I may let you live!"

The young man was angered that the dragon had destroyed his wheels and cellphone. "Pay my ransom and Sygax is yours!"

Sunstriker arched an eye at the counter-demand. "What ransom are you asking for, human?"

Jet was trying hard to keep his cool despite being so angry. "I want a solid gold cup of a size so that a dragon could drink out of it. When I get the cup, you get Sygax."

Out of nowhere, the sounds of a motorcycle entering the canyon interrupted the deal in progress as a cold gout of ocean water doused the acidic flames and knocked Sunstriker to the ground making him fall in the newly forming mud under his back and feet! Just in front of the tidal wave was a blue motorcycle with a female Power Ranger at the handlebars. She grabbed Jet and placed him on the back seat with her as she zoomed out of the canyon. She put some distance between the canyon and themselves before she spoke to Jet. "Zim tried to tell you that Sunstriker would come after you, Jet. I'm sorry about your motorcycle. Maybe now you will listen to reason." It was Kala in her Blue Ninja Dragon Ranger gear. "Unless we stop these dragon attacks, they will never hold the tournament that you are so interested in participating in. They will cancel it for the safety and protection of the public."

Jet sighed. "I should have listened to you guys the first time. I hope Sygax will forgive me. I was so blinded by wanting to win that tournament cup."

Kala said, "It isn't too late, Jet. You will get to be the red ranger of the team. Zim will be our mentor. If we push back the dragons, the officials will hold the tournament."

Dojo of the Fighting Ninja Dragons.

At the Dojo, Zim handed the belt back to Jet. "Good job in rescuing Jet, Kala. What did your mother say about your going back out?" Kala smiled. "I told her that I signed up for martial arts lessons with you and she let me leave since she trusts you."

Sygax came over to Jet and said, "No hard feelings, as long as you work with us to dish out payback on Sunstriker and the others. Your former ride was pretty nice." After Jet put on the belt, Sygax touched the red jewel and vanished into Jet's body. Sygax mentally said, Now suit up so you can receive your all new Dragon Cycle.

Jet Chung touched his buckle with his left hand which caused his Dojo Necklace to appear, before he made some martial arts moves and stopped in a perfectly executed pose. "Ninja Coyote!" His Dojo Necklace floated up, hovering before his face and glowed brightly. "Ranger Dragon!" A sudden blast of fire erupted beneath him and projected him up into a transformation chamber just out of sight. His dragon uniform of silver with red racing stripes appeared from his ankles up his legs and torso, then from the hands and arms, and finishing around his neck, along with his boots and his gloves. Then another eruption of fire sent him further into the air where Sygaxaerapalos seemed to appear in an overlay over his body briefly as his red dragon helmet appeared on his head, as the dark visor formed over his eyes. Then he landed on the ground where the image of his Red Dragon Coyote Cycle appeared briefly behind him, as a special effects explosion of an erupting volcano appeared behind him. And as a gold metallic Chinese zodiac wheel appeared on his chest, his Dragon Katana appeared in his grasp. An illumination like a rising suns rays shot up from behind him bathing him in the power of good and justice. "Red Dragon Ranger!"
