Chapter 02 - Something Familiar About Damien

Dragon King's Throne Room

After each of the others had their turn in front of the Dragon King, it was finally Damien's turn to go meet with his host. He wasn't sure if the Dragon King would listen to his explanation on what was really causing the itch, but as long as it meant getting free of the dungeons, Damien was ready for anything.

The Dragon King was seated in his throne, clawing at his muzzle and neck like crazy when Damien was brought into his presence. "Ah good. The Red Dragon Fury Ranger. Your friends were not very helpful. And I couldn't understand the Pink one at all."

Damien tried not to grin at the fact that Alana spoke fluent French when she felt like doing so.

The Dragon King continued, still clawing and scratching on himself. "By now, you know what I am going to ask you. How can I get rid of this infernal itching sensation?"

Damien calmly replied in an almost regal somber like voice, "Have you tried soaking all areas of concern in Dragon Oil?"

The Dragon King blinked his eyes at Damien, forgetting about the itch as he heard the reply. "Dragon Oil? I have a supply of that in my vaults. Though dragons do not bathe in the stuff anymore like they once did in the past. That will help me?"

Damien said, meeting the Dragon King's gaze evenly, "One session won't do. You will have to repeat this process six more times after the first. Only then will the itch be defeated. It takes that many sessions to loosen up your scales so that the next application of the oil can begin to rinse the powders of the itch out of the crevices of your scales. And once those powders are gone, you will no longer have the infernal itch, as you put it."

The Dragon King was astonished over how well spoken the Red Dragon Fury Ranger was. But then he arched an eye and sniffed toward Damien in a curious way. "Have we met before?"

Damien shrugged his shoulders. "I am a human, so our meeting before is highly doubtful. Especially if you mean before this year. The Dragon Oil should help solve your problem."

The Dragon King continued to examine Damien closely. "Your scent... reminds me of the Dragon Council. Are you certain that we have not met before? I never forget a scent."

Damien replied, "I collect old dragon relics, so perhaps I have handled something that a Dragon Council member once held. But I am no dragon myself. I think I would know that or not."

The Dragon King then said, "Very well, Red Ranger. Warriors! Return our guest to his cell!" He turned to look at Damien again. "I will try your solution. If it doesn't work, I will personally kill you."

And with that, the Drakogyle Warriors began to escort Damien back down to the dungeons.

The Dragon King turned and walked down the corridor in the direction of his vaults. "Dragon Oil. I must admit... that is the one thing I had not thought to try. But how would a human know about Dragon Oil. He smelled like a Dragon Council member. And I never forget a scent. If he is not one of them... then he must be related to them. And that means... he is a dragon."

Chapter 03 - Winning Isn't Everything

The battle between Shadowsarc and the Green Dragon was still going on.

At first, Shadowsarc would begin to get the upper hand. Then he would be knocked back by the basics of Juikungrate. It was purely humiliating to be on the receiving end of a martial art that was invented by dragons in the first place.

Finally, Shadowsarc stepped back rather angrily. "Enough, Green Dragon! I grow tired of fighting with honor! It is time to win by any costs!" And with that, he shifted into the form of a lightning fast shadow and he resolidified directly behind his opponent, where he placed his enemy into a head lock. "I have you now!"

And just as suddenly, the Green Dragon stepped out from behind a tree some distance away. He was clearly unmorphed, yet still wearing his motorcycle helmet. He was also holding a remote control. "Cheaters never win, Shadowsarc! Good bye!" And he pressed the button on the remote and the body he had been holding suddenly exploded with the near force of an atom bomb, which threw Shadowsarc backwards through several trees and a hill side.

The Green Dragon then said, "Winning isn't everything, Shadow. I learned that the hard way. Please, don't come back." And then, he turned and got on his motorcycle, zipped up his black leather jacket, and sped away down the nearby highway.

Shadowsarc slowly pulled himself out of the hill side, still smoking from his impact. "I lost. I can't believe I lost. His power is simply unreal. The Dragon King is sure to be upset about this whole ordeal. But I must report in."

He stood up and began to hobble back toward the Dragon Palace.

In the dungeons of the Dragon Palace, however, Damien was once again speaking to his team members. "I told the Dragon King how he could stop the itch. But I am afraid it will return. And for that reason, we need to get out of here right now. Xanth? If you're ready to get us out, now would be a great time to do it. I don't trust the Dragon King to keep his word of freeing us."

Xanth replied, "Yas got it, mate. One escape spell coming right up. Ah'll aim us for the parking lot where the professor's jeep is. Ah think 'e would be 'appy if we retrieved it for 'im."

Geanne growled, "About time we're getting out of here! I think those lizard warriors tried to grope me! And furthermore..."

But she didn't get to say anything more as all six rangers vanished out of the dungeons and appeared in the parking lot at the professor's jeep. Everyone piled in, then Damien started up the vehicle and drove his team away from the dragon palace.

Once they were away from the old mining site, Damien said, "Not a word of this encounter to the professor. We rescued his jeep. But not a damned word about our getting our butts handed to us. I mean it, you guys."

Rhys said, "O.K. Damien. We get it. But that WAS the worst beating I can ever remember getting."

Alana muttered lowly, "...criss de drakon roy..."

Geanne then said, "Alana said, that god-"

Alana growled, "SHUT UP!"

Chapter 04 - Time to Reflect: Damien

The nearby Marina Forest found Ragnaros watching Damien punch trees and boulders with his bare fists in a furious near rage.

"How... Why... Dastardly... Dammit..." the last uttered when Damien punched something that a little stronger than he was expecting and now his fist was bleeding a bit.

Ragnaros' eyes went a little wide at that point. "I don't see why you are so mad, Damien. I mean, it's not like YOU are stuck as a minidragon. I'd trade out of this in a heartbeat. This is not one of the more good times I have ever had. But it does make reconnaissance work more interesting. I could never have fit into a ventilation duct in the old days."

Damien was now holding his bleeding, sore fist to his chest, pained from hitting the target at such a stupid angle. "You don't understand, Ragnaros. You will never understand."

Ragnaros folded his arms over his cute chest. "Try me."

Damien sighed, as he slowly sank down, sitting on the ground, gazing off into the sky above the woods. He was a very, very serious person. He loved his friends and yet, he was very... honorable person. He had won the support of his friends that way too. Most of them knew him to be... the kind of person that would stick up for them.

"I am..." he sighed again. "very angry at myself. I led my team into a battle that we had no way of winning. How could I have been so 'weak'? And... I am pissed that the Evil Dragon King is giving dragonkind a BAD name. I don't want to believe that dragons are evil. I know they're not. You just don't 'think' like a dragon because you were human once."

Ragnaros said, "Believe me, Damien. I am trying."

Damien then said, "I am upset that I can't help you and your partners. Yet at the same time, I feel like... you should have a little more... respect for what you are."

Ragnaros sighed, looking down at the ground, saying nothing this time.

Damien continued. "I despise the professor who changed you and your friends into minidragons... with a burning passion. Not ONLY did he INSULT dragons BUT he ALSO ruined the lives of innocent people."

Damien was crying after his shouted outburst. He had his head down between his knees and he sobbed. He felt like a horrible leader. And worse, he felt like he couldn't help any of them.

Ragnaros slowly eyed Damian. "You remind me of... me. The old me. Before this happened." He glanced off into the sky himself. "I was always trying to take the whole world on my shoulders and make the world a better place for my friends. Now I am a minidragon. Robbed of my humanity and I can't be seen in public." Then he turned his muzzle toward Damien again. "And I have been partnered with you. Looks aside, when I look at you... I see the old me. I really do."

Damien slowly lifted his head, looking at Ragnaros. "You see yourself in me? Really?"

Ragnaros nodded his muzzle. "And how I hated myself when I would fail. Or when I thought I had failed. Hint. Hint."

Damien hummed, as he lifted his head up to gaze of the sky through the canopy of the forest trees once again.

Chapter 05 - Time to Reflect: Rhys

Rhys was at the Boathouse within the back storage room doing inventory on the supplies therein. Around his neck was what appeared, to the stupid observer, to be a scaly blue scarf. "Taco shells, check. Daisy cups and straws, check and check. Santa Marina Cola.... Hey! Who's been swilling the Santa Marina Cola?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." BURP! "oh, excuse me," said Azurus.

Rhys sighed. "Why am I not surprised? Can't you stay out of the Boathouse stock? Uncle Theo is going to have a sea cow!"

Azurus grinned. "Mind your manners, Rhys. I am a hungry blue minidragon. I have to eat, you know. Or would you rather I eat your clothes? Everyone says you have great taste in clothes and I have been wondering what they taste like."

Rhys growled, "No way! You leave my clothes alone! Bad enough I have to wear this blue work uniform here at the Boathouse!"

Azurus chuckled. "If you are through complaining, Mr. Mouthy, you need to finish up your inventory so we can talk about that outing earlier today."

Rhys grumbled to himself, "Why couldn't I have had the red minidragon instead?"

Azurus giggled. "You couldn't handle Ragnaros and we all know it. If you think Damien is weird, then Ragnaros is more weird. If you couldn't live with Damien, then you wouldn't want to live with Ragnaros. Its that simple."

Rhys said, "That outing simply sucked, Azurus. Its that simple. Our first time out as Rangers and we blew it."

Azurus hummed. "Seems to me that you only blew it against their leader. In a game of chess, what is likely going to happen if you take six pawns and march them across the board toward your opponent's king?"

Rhys also hummed, stopping to think about that for a moment. "Well, if his pawns are like the Drakogyle Warriors, then we were doing well against them. In fact... in an odd sort of way, they turned me on a little." He was smiling at the thought.

Azurus suddenly shocked Rhys with a mini-bolt of lightning! "ZZZT!"

Rhys yelped, "OW! Why did you do that for?"

Azurus said, "Remove your sick mind from the dragon gutter and get back on topic please. What will happen to the six pawns AFTER the Drakogyle Warrior pawns are out of the way?"

Rhys was now rubbing his stinging neck. "In Chess... we would have to deal with the other non-pawn pieces. Or in your example... the King's Generals. Except... we didn't meet his Generals. We met HIM and he mopped the ground with us in one shot. If we hadn't been morphed, we would have been killed."

Azurus then said, "What I am trying to get at is this, Rhys... your battle against their leader... Damien sort of provoked the leader into displaying his power. All of you announced yourselves and displayed a portion of your power. So he felt that he had to do the same in return. That humiliation could have been avoided, Rhys. Just be more careful next time."

Rhys sighed. "With Damien leading, that is easier said than done, Azurus. Believe me."

Chapter 06 - Time to Reflect: Alana

Alana chose to vent her frustrations by hiding out in a matinee theater while a movie was playing. Sakura was sitting next to her eating a bucket of buttery popcorn.

"We really should talk about that outing, Alana," the minidragon quietly said. "Talking about it will really help."

Alana sighed, as she whispered, "What is there to talk about? We lost. As Power Rangers, we stink."

Sakura hummed, then said, "Heroes don't get to win them all, Alana. I learned that in the military. Sometimes you win, then sometimes you lose. Its called a balance. But as long as you learn from the loss, then in the end, you have scored a personal win." She then smirked. "You cussed the dragon king out in French. Can anyone else do that?"

Alana smiled at that. "Well... it is handy to have a second language that a dragon has not heard before. I guess you're right. I did score a point there. Retaliation, you might say..."

Sakura smiled too. "In play rehearsal, do you get lines right the first shot, or do you have to practice more than once?"

Alana glanced over at the pink minidragon. "How did you get so smart?"

Sakura grinned. "I had to put up with male jocks back in high school who thought they were smarter and more important than a girl. And because I had to deal with that, I had to learn how to even the score. Public victories don't mean anything, Alana. Its the private victories that hurt the guy the most. And the more private victories you score, the prouder you feel."

Alana grinned. "So you think we could have taken the dragon fool?"

Sakura grinned back. "With practice, yes. So are we going to sit in here at a movie and get fat on popcorn? Or are we going to go out somewhere and get in some practice?"

Alana slyly smiled, as she picked up Sakura and exited the movie theater.

And not long after that, the two were out in the woods outside of town, training hard and practicing their fighting moves.

"...and who can defeat a king?" growled Sakura, as she threw a minidragon attack at Alana.

Alana dodged the attack and bounded off of a nearby tree to come leaping right at Sakura. "Any piece that catches the king off guard!"

Sakura grinned as she rolled and dodged, as she tail whipped Alana's rump. "And if the surpriser is a female?"

Alana turned and tackled Sakura, wrestling roughly with the minidragon, as they rolled through the leaves on the forests floor. "The more personal the win is, you little sneak!"

"Ow, I think you rolled me over a sharp rock!" cried out Sakura.

Alana growled back, "You popped me in the behind with your tail!" And so it went through the afternoon, as the two fought and trained in preparation with their next encounter with the dragon king.

Chapter 07 - Time to Reflect: Xanth

"Focus, Xanth," Cousteau the donkey boy calmly said. "That's the way."

Parmajo sat at the stone table with Cousteau as they watched Xanth utilizing his magic user powers in the usual training session. Except this session was anything but normal.

Parmajo whispered, "You mean to tell me that Xanth is in better form now than he was before the Dragon King battle? How is that possible?"

Cousteau whispered back, "I am not sure how it happened, but whatever happened to Xanth in that battle has amplified his Archmage abilities. Judging from his current power levels, I would have to say that he is near 18th circle magery now. And before, he was barely up to 3rd. Something has altered his abilities and I don't know why."

Parmajo hummed. "I know he was unconscious a little longer than the rest of the Rangers were. And when he did wake up, he was immediately focusing on magic. He barely acknowledged that I was there."

Xanth suddenly said in mid maneuver, "Ah am not deaf, Parmajo. Ah do 'ear what yas two are saying."

Cousteau said, "Its just that your Archmage power increase doesn't make any sense, Xanth. I would hate to see you start relying on it, then it suddenly vanish leaving you high and dry. I am just wary about it, that's all."

Xanth hummed, as he set the levitating boulder down. "Yas were supposed to 'ave magically scanned me, Cousteau. What did yas find out?"

Cousteau took a breath, then replied, "It appears that another Archmage dumped his powers directly into your body, Xanth. An inheritance transfer, if you want to call it that. I don't know who the other mage is or where he went after he did this, but you have all of his powers now. And because it is a sudden increase to your abilities, all I am saying is that you should be cautious in how you use these powers until you are used to having them."

Parmajo said, "That makes perfect sense to me. In that fight against the Dragon King's forces, Xanth didn't do anything wrong at all. Its only when the Dragon King himself got involved did the team get their butts handed to them. I suppose it couldn't be avoided, but Xanth is the one who teleported everyone out of the Dragon King's dungeons."

Xanth hummed. "Ah remember the Dragon King blasting us into unconsciousness. But then Ah 'ad a weird dream... Ah dreamed that an old outback chum showed up and said, 'This will 'elp yas in yer next fight, mate. 'ave a good life and don't try to find me.' And then 'e was gone and Ah woke up feeling magically energized."

Cousteau thought about that. "Don't try to find me... that sounds like he was leaving the dimension for some reason. He must have given you all of his powers then left for other realms. Do you know the name of this outback chum?"

Xanth nodded his head. "Of course Ah know 'is name. Deryk Devlin. But 'e is no mage. 'e simply 'elps 'is parents with their work down under against spooks and demons. They are demon 'unters. That is what the Devlin's do. And they are good at it."

Parmajo stated, "Maybe it was the Deryk Devlin from another dimension then. He came here and gave his powers to you, Xanth. Then he left and returned to his own dimension." He was quiet for a moment. "But why would he give you powers like that then tell you to not try to find him? All you would have to do is call Australia and ask if Deryk was there."

Chapter 08 - Time to Reflect: Lex

Lutimar sat on a tree branch overlooking a soccer field while Lex practiced kicking soccer balls into a goal. The minidragon was jotting some poetry. Lex on the other hand was not only frustrated over having lost on their first time out, he was so angry that he couldn't focus on kicking a soccer ball in a straight line.

Finally, Lutimar said, "Take five, Lex. If you play soccer the way you perform as a Ranger, then you best quit before you end up hurting someone." He then added. "Namely yourself."

Lex glared up into the nearby tree. "Ah didn't 'ear yas giving any suggestions in that fight, Lutimar! What gives yas the right to lecture me now?" And he quickly went to kick another soccer ball and lost his balance and landed squarely on his back on the soccer field, dazed, and with a few stars circling his vision.

Lutimar flew down and landed on Lex's chest. "Military training, of course. Regardless of form, I am an officer still. If you don't think you can do this job, then hand over your morpher and I will find someone who can. Professor Saber chose you as a Ranger, but if he has made a mistake, then perhaps someone else can do your job better than you can. Hm?"

Lex moaned. "Ah think Ah 'urt my back and yas are lecturing me on my ability as a Ranger?"

Lutimar replied, "In case you forgot, when you guys are morphed, my compatriots and I cannot communicate with you because we are morphed into your uniform. We literally become your ranger gear. However, we see everything you see and hear everything you hear, but we are unable to talk to you during a morphed moment. It is only during non-morphed times that we can communicate with you people, as I am attempting to do right now."

Lex winced, as he slowly tried to get up. "What are yas trying to tell me, Lutimar? That Ah was the reason we failed against the Dragon King? Sure, just go on and say it. Yas want to. Lex botched the attack. What are yas waiting for?"

Lutimar sighed. "No, that isn't what I was trying to say, Lex. I was trying to help you get over how you felt about losing. Its affecting how you kick the soccer balls. There are balls all over the field and only one ball in the goal, only because it bounced off of a wall to the left and rolled in there. Don't you think the others feel just as badly about this fight as you do? You can't roll in self-pity like this. Because if you keep it up, I am going to request a new partner."

Lex looked around the soccer field and the minidragon was correct. There were soccer balls all over the place. "Ah didn't realize 'ow much this was affecting me, Lutimar. Ah guess Ah do need some 'elp 'ere. But please give me another chance. It was our first time out. In the military, during yer first time out... did yas guys think yas were invincible?"

Lutimar smiled a little, remembering all those many years ago. "Yes, we thought we were indestructible. We had just been given the dragon serum and we thought that we were the ultimate solution. And we may have pompously acted like we knew everything, too. But we lost it... and we did it to ourselves. And as fear set in, we shrank... becoming what we are today. And we deserved it. We weren't dragons... we were pussies."

Lex was quiet as he looked at Lutimar. "So... yas are just trying to make sure Ah and my friends... don't make that mistake. Is that it?"

Lutimar nodded his muzzle at Lex. "I wouldn't wish my condition on anyone. Even for a day, Lex."

Lex nodded his head, too. "Okay. 'elp me gather up all of these balls. We need to go report in."

Chapter 09 - Time to Reflect: Geanne

Geanne sat out behind the Bad Boy Biker Bar doing what she did best when she was moping after getting her butt beat up: practicing her fighting skills against a dummy. Her partner, Augyra, sat nearby sipping on a soft drink and eating a hamburger.

While Geanne was practicing in a heated fury, the Green Dragon walked around the corner, seeing her and her partner, before quickly backing up around the corner. Geanne is one of the chosen? I had better make sure. Tomachi! Appear! And with that, Tomachi, a young green dragon, appeared on the Green Dragon's shoulder, much the same way that a parrot would sit perched there. And then, the two stepped around the corner into the open. "Geanne!"

And of course, both Geanne and Augyra were taken by surprise by the arrival of the Green Dragon and his companion! Augyra immediately flew over to Geanne's bracer and vanished into the morpher! Geanne was then immediately in her prepared pre-morphing pose! "You! You have a dragon, too? What do you want?"

The Green Dragon slowly walked forward, seeing the morpher on Geanne's arm. "If you do that, I will too." He showed his own morpher. "And if you challenge me, you will assuredly lose. Again. Am I wrong? That is why you're out behind the biker bar, isn't it? You lost a fight to someone and you are punishing yourself by training against that weak dummy."

Geanne growled, "What do you know? You weren't even there!" Then she paused. "Or were you?"

The Green Dragon remarked calmly. "The wise general weighs the facts before he, or she, initiates a basis of action."

"I can take you any day, Green Dragon!"

"But will you? Unlike that dummy, I can fight back."

Augyra spiritually appeared, possessing Geanne as she shouted draconically, "Dragon Fury Strike! Powers Ignite!" As the background behind Geanne became that of a solar flare, a golden corona of sunlight struck her, causing her body to glow in a bright golden light. Suddenly, glistening gold dragon scales rapidly swallowed Geanne from her feet up to her neck. Then, the scales exploded from her body in a golden halo like blast, revealing her ranger uniform. Finally, as Augyra's jaws opened directly behind Geanne, her dragon shaped helmet slowly wrapped around her head, ending with a set of shiny golden visors, appearing like slitted dragon eyes. Then, another golden corona of sunlight appeared which became a mighty Japanese composite bow that had the likeness of Augyra's head on one grasp. Geanne then spun around in a circle one time, striking a majestic battle pose. "Gold Dragon Ranger! Dragon Fury! Hear the roar!" Geanne shouted, as she struck her battle pose.

"What do you say to that, Green Dragon?" she asked forcefully.

The Green Dragon pulled out his Dragon Caller Card from his black leather jacket, as he brought his morpher over his chest. "If you insist on doing this, Geanne, I'll spar with you. But remember. I am not your enemy."

The Green Dragon then struck his combat pose and held his digital bracer over his chest. "Dragon Call!" He then swiped the card through the bracer's slot. "Council Strike! Powers Ignite!" The scene around the Green Dragon became that of the ancient dragon council island, as a celestial wind appeared and enveloped the Green Dragon. He then threw the card into the air and leaped into the sky to join the card. The card became huge as the Green Dragon passed through the card from one side to the other. As he emerged from the other side, he was fully wearing his Green Dragon Fury uniform and golden like armor. As he dropped back to the ground, the card flared in mid air and as it came back down he caught it by it's new sword hilt. The card had transformed into a Dragon Sword. Then the scene around him transformed back to normal, as images of his Emerald Wind Dragon Zord and Celestial Council Megazord were both seen briefly behind him. "Green Dragon Warrior! Celestial Council Fury!" He then grinned. "Shall we dance, Geanne? What was that phrase you said earlier? Oh yes... Hear the roar!"

And the two began to spar further away from the Biker Bar. And all the while, the Green Dragon giving Geanne exactly the kind of work out she was wanting. She still didn't know his real name, but she was glad he wasn't their enemy.

Chapter 10 - Regrouping for Another Round

Professor Townsend was floating in the armory building when he saw Damien and the others entering the building. "My friends. One of the Dragon King's Generals has appeared in the nearby National Forest. Think you can take down a General?"

Xanth replied, "Ah think we're rested enough. Let's do it, Damien."

Damien nodded his head. "Time to morph, guys! But lets not lose our heads this time!"

Ragnaros spiritually appeared, possessing Damien as he shouted draconically, "Dragon Fury Strike! Powers Ignite!" As the background behind Damien became that of a giant roaring inferno, a red bolt of fire lashed out and struck him, causing his body to glow in a bright red like light. Suddenly, glowing and glistening crimson dragon scales rapidly swallowed Damien from his feet up to his neck. Then, the scales exploded from his body in a blast of intense red and black fire, revealing his ranger uniform. Finally, as Ragnaros' jaws opened directly behind Damien, his dragon shaped helmet slowly wrapped around his head, ending with a set of glowing crimson visors, appearing like slitted dragon eyes. The inferno blazed strongly as it condensed forming into the shape of small 12-inch gold staff. Damien grabbed it and lifted it up, flames bursting from his fist as the dragon's fire raced along the surface of the staff and two wicked blades extended from the ends of the staff, one from each side. Damien then spun around in a circle one time, striking a fierce battle pose. "Red Dragon Ranger!"

Azurus spiritually appeared, possessing Rhys as he shouted draconically, "Dragon Fury Strike! Powers Ignite!" As the background behind Rhys became that of a tsunami, a bolt of blue lightning struck him, causing his body to glow in a bright bluish light. Suddenly, wet glistening azure dragon scales rapidly swallowed Rhys from his feet up to his neck. Then, the scales exploded from his body in a blast of bluish smoke, revealing his ranger uniform. Finally, as Azurus' jaws opened directly behind Rhys, his dragon shaped helmet slowly wrapped around his head, ending with a set of blue azure like visors, appearing like slitted dragon eyes. Then, another lightning bolt arced down from the sky, the bolt became halberd like bladed staff that had the likeness of Azurus' head on one end, and a nasty looking, double edged, curved blade on the other. Rhys then spun around in a circle one time, striking a fierce battle pose. "Blue Dragon Ranger!"

Sakura spiritually appeared, possessing Alana as she shouted draconically, "Dragon Fury Strike! Powers Ignite!" As the background behind Alana became that of a cherry blossom tree, a gust of pink petals surrounded her, causing her body to glow in a bright pinkish light. Suddenly, radiant glistening pink dragon scales rapidly swallowed Alana from her feet up to her neck. Then, the scales exploded from her body in a blast of pink sparkles, revealing her ranger uniform. Finally, as Sakura's jaws opened directly behind Alana, her dragon shaped helmet slowly wrapped around her head, ending with a set of rose red visors, appearing like slitted dragon eyes. Then, another surge of petals arced down from the sky, becoming a pair of light pink folding fans, each decorated with a bright pink ribbon. Alana then spun around in a circle one time, striking a magnificent battle pose. "Pink Dragon Ranger!"

Parmajo spiritually appeared, possessing Xanth as he shouted draconically, "Dragon Fury Strike! Powers Ignite!" As the background behind Xanth became that of a magician's nightclub, a rain of Indigo sparkles and powdery smoke struck him, causing his body to glow in a bright indigo like light. Suddenly, glistening Indigo dragon scales rapidly swallowed Xanth from his feet up to his neck. Then, the scales exploded from his body in a blast of indigo sparking smoke, revealing his ranger uniform. Finally, as Parmajo's jaws opened directly behind Xanth, his dragon shaped helmet slowly wrapped around his head, ending with a set of black light like visors, appearing like slitted dragon eyes. Then, another blast of Indigo sparks erupted around him, which became a bladed staff that had the likeness of Parmajo's head on one end. Xanth then spun around in a circle one time, striking a fierce battle pose. "Indigo Dragon Ranger!"

Lutimar spiritually appeared, possessing Lex as he shouted draconically, "Dragon Fury Strike! Powers Ignite!" As the background behind Lex became that of a heavenly storm, a lightning flash of silver struck him, causing his body to glow in a bright silver like light. Suddenly, glistening silver dragon scales rapidly swallowed Lex from his feet up to his neck. Then, the scales exploded from his body in a blast of silvered light, revealing his ranger uniform. Finally, as Lutimar's jaws opened directly behind Lex, his dragon shaped helmet slowly wrapped around his head, ending with a set of dark silver like visors, appearing like slitted dragon eyes. Then, another silver flash appeared which became a shiny sword that had the likeness of Lutimar's head on one pommel. Lex then spun around in a circle one time, striking a fierce battle pose. "Silver Dragon Ranger!"

Augyra spiritually appeared, possessing Geanne as she shouted draconically, "Dragon Fury Strike! Powers Ignite!" As the background behind Geanne became that of a solar flare, a golden corona of sunlight struck her, causing her body to glow in a bright golden light. Suddenly, glistening gold dragon scales rapidly swallowed Geanne from her feet up to her neck. Then, the scales exploded from her body in a golden halo like blast, revealing her ranger uniform. Finally, as Augyra's jaws opened directly behind Geanne, her dragon shaped helmet slowly wrapped around her head, ending with a set of shiny golden visors, appearing like slitted dragon eyes. Then, another golden corona of sunlight appeared which became a mighty Japanese composite bow that had the likeness of Augyra's head on one grasp. Geanne then spun around in a circle one time, striking a majestic battle pose. "Gold Dragon Ranger!"

"Power Rangers Dragon Fury! Hear the roar!" they all shouted, striking a group pose.

Damien exclaimed, "Let's hit it, guys!" And he led the team out of the armory building!

Chapter 11 - Renewed Abilities

The Dragon Fury Rangers had found General Shadowsarc and were now in a fight with him and his own troop of Drakogyle Warriors! Hand to hand combat was working, but still they weren't doing as well as they could have been doing.

Suddenly, as Damien was pulling back to prepare himself for another volley, he heard his morpher beep and a voice emerged from it.

"Damien!" It was General Orion Standish, the officer who had been given the Bronze Dragon serum. "I've been monitoring your battle with the Drakogyle Warriors! While they have training and strength of the centuries, your team doesn't. Its time for a needed upgrade. Dragon Fury! Strike your poses and receive the power! Hear the roar!"

Suddenly a multitude of roaring dragons were heard, as flashes of light materialized a new set of buttons on the Dragon Ranger's morphers!

"Raise your morphers before you and shout, Fury of Your mini-dragon partner's name, then when the dragon eyes glow, press both dragon eyes and shout, Dragon Merge! Go get them, Dragon Rangers! The odds are more even now!"

Damien exclaimed to the others, "Lets see what Mr. Standish sent us, guys!"

Damien raised his left fist over his chest. "Fury of Ragnaros!" The dragon eyes on the morpher began to glow brightly, as he pressed both dragon eyes. "Dragon Merge!" There was a sudden draconic roar, as Damien could feel Ragnaros and himself fully merging into a single being. His red scaly tail grew out of his backside, as he felt leathery wings pushing and ripping forth from his back. Damien then experienced a growth spurt, as he increased in size, followed by his hands and feet becoming scaly and clawed. Then, he released another draconic roar as his helmet began transforming into his dragon head, muzzle, head fin, and long slender tendrils. Damien could hear bones cracking and popping as his new body accepted the ending results of the merging sequence. Damien shouted, "Red Ragnaros Dragon!"

Rhys raised his left fist over his chest. "Fury of Azurus!" The dragon eyes on the morpher began to glow brightly, as he pressed both dragon eyes. "Dragon Merge!" There was a sudden draconic roar, as Rhys could feel Azurus and himself fully merging into a single being. His blue scaly tail grew out of his backside, as he felt leathery wings pushing and ripping forth from his back. Rhys then experienced a growth spurt, as he increased in size, followed by his hands and feet becoming scaly and clawed. Then, he released another draconic roar as his helmet began transforming into his dragon head, muzzle, head fin, and long slender tendrils. Rhys could hear bones cracking and popping as his new body accepted the ending results of the merging sequence. Rhys shouted, "Blue Azurus Dragon!"

Alana raised her left fist over her chest. "Fury of Sakura!" The dragon eyes on the morpher began to glow brightly, as she pressed both dragon eyes. "Dragon Merge!" There was a sudden draconic roar, as Alana could feel Sakura and herself fully merging into a single being. Her pink scaly tail grew out of her backside, as she felt leathery wings pushing and ripping forth from her back. Alana then experienced a growth spurt, as she increased in size, followed by her hands and feet becoming scaly and clawed. Then, she released another draconic roar as her helmet began transforming into her dragon head, muzzle, head fin, and long slender tendrils. Alana could hear bones cracking and popping as her new body accepted the ending results of the merging sequence. Alana shouted, "Pink Sakura Dragon!"

Xanth raised his left fist over his chest. "Fury of Parmajo!" The dragon eyes on the morpher began to glow brightly, as he pressed both dragon eyes. "Dragon Merge!" There was a sudden draconic roar, as Xanth could feel Parmajo and himself fully merging into a single being. His indigo scaly tail grew out of his backside, as he felt leathery wings pushing and ripping forth from his back. Xanth then experienced a growth spurt, as he increased in size, followed by his hands and feet becoming scaly and clawed. Then, he released another draconic roar as his helmet began transforming into his dragon head, muzzle, head fin, and long slender tendrils. Lex raised his left fist over his chest. "Fury of Lutimar!" The dragon eyes on the morpher began to glow brightly, as he pressed both dragon eyes. "Dragon Merge!" There was a sudden draconic roar, as Lex could feel Lutimar and himself fully merging into a single being. His silver scaly tail grew out of his backside, as he felt leathery wings pushing and ripping forth from his back. Lex then experienced a growth spurt, as he increased in size, followed by his hands and feet becoming scaly and clawed. Then, he released another draconic roar as his helmet began transforming into his dragon head, muzzle, head fin, and long slender tendrils. Lex could hear bones cracking and popping as his new body accepted the ending results of the merging sequence. Lex shouted, "Silver Lutimar Dragon!"

Geanne raised her left fist over her chest. "Fury of Augyra!" The dragon eyes on the morpher began to glow brightly, as she pressed both dragon eyes. "Dragon Merge!" There was a sudden draconic roar, as Geanne could feel Augyra and herself fully merging into a single being. Her gold scaly tail grew out of her backside, as she felt leathery wings pushing and ripping forth from her back. Geanne then experienced a growth spurt, as she increased in size, followed by her hands and feet becoming scaly and clawed. Then, she released another draconic roar as her helmet began transforming into her dragon head, muzzle, head fin, and long slender tendrils. Geanne could hear bones cracking and popping as her new body accepted the ending results of the merging sequence. Geanne shouted, "Gold Augyra Dragon!"

All six Ranger Dragons roared and shouted, "Dragon Heroes! Hear The Roar!"

Then Damien exclaimed, "This is awesome! We have a dragon transformation power! Lets get them, guys!"

And the six new dragons leaped to the attack against the Drakogyle Warriors, clawing their enemies, and tail-slapping their opponents as far away from them as possible. Soon, it was just the Dragon Rangers and General Shadowsarc.

Shadowsarc smiled. "So, you want to play the dragon game, do you? We can go that route! And will this ever be fun!" And instantly, General Shadowsarc was in his full Shadow Dragon form, as he shouted, "Shadowsarc Dragon Mode!"

And then they were all fighting against the dragon general with all of their might, though whenever Shadowsarc laid a claw on Rhys, he nearly got electrocuted by Azurus. And with Xanth throwing his spells around and Geanne playing dirty, there didn't seem to any possible way to get the upper claw in this battle.

Chapter 12 - A Team Triumphant

Shadowsarc leaped free and shouted, "Dragon Blast! Arcane Fury! Balauthjhar!" And then he leaped into the sky as a gigantic black dragon mecha-monster landed on the scene. Shadowsarc then landed inside the cockpit of his mecha-dragon. "You will surely be destroyed now, Dragon Rangers!"

General Orion Standish then spoke to the team once again. "I was afraid your enemy would do that, so now... Damien, Rhys, and Geanne will type in code number nine-seven-one-three and shout, Dragotopia, Power of Io. You three will form the Dragon Power Megazord. Alana, Xanth, and Lex will type in code number five-seven-three-one and shout, Dragotopia, Honor of Io. You three will form the Dragon Honor Megazord. Now go get 'em, Dragon Rangers! Let me hear the roar!"

Damien, Rhys, and Geanne all typed in code number nine-seven-one-three and shouted, "Dragotopia! Power of Io!" Suddenly, a rush of power cascaded over the Dragon Heroes as a new combination sequence occurred. The Blue Dragon Hero transformed into powerful legs and feet. The Red Dragon Hero transformed into an invulnerable torso and mighty sword. The Gold Dragon Hero transformed into a prehensile tail and dexterous arms and hands. Then the pieces came together as the cosmic blessing of Io adhered the mighty warrior together, as majestic armored wings appeared on its back and a command central dragon headed, horned battle helm appeared over its head. The three Dragon Rangers found themselves inside the command helm as they shouted, "Dragon Power Megazord! Powered up!"

Alana, Xanth, and Lex all typed in code number five-seven-three-one and shouted, "Dragotopia! Honor of Io!" Suddenly, a rush of power cascaded over the Dragon Heroes as a new combination sequence occurred. The Pink Dragon Hero transformed into powerful legs and feet. The Indigo Dragon Hero transformed into an invulnerable torso and mighty staff. The Silver Dragon Hero transformed into a prehensile tail and dexterous arms and hands. Then the pieces came together as the cosmic blessing of Io adhered the mighty warrior together, as majestic armored cloak appeared on its back and a command central dragon headed, horned battle helm appeared over its head. The three Dragon Rangers found themselves inside the command helm as they shouted, "Dragon Honor Megazord! Powered up!"

Then they all exclaimed, "Dragon Fury Megazords! Hear the roar!" And explosions of fire and smoke erupted behind them!

Even though Shadowsarc was more skilled in piloting Balauthjhar, he had never had two giant dragon opponents at the same time, and only failing to underestimate his foes, they soon had him on the ropes and were aiming the power weapons at him.

"Fury of Io! Fire! Lightning! Earth! Wind! Magic! Steel!" and the weapons fired off their blasts at Balauthjhar and in a majestic flash of light and the explosion of dark fire, the mecha-dragon was destroyed, throwing Shadowsarc free to the ground, crashing through several trees!

The two Dragon Fury Megazords then struck their victory pose, even as General Shadowsarc crawled back toward the Palace of the Evil Dragon King. He was sorely wounded and would not underestimate his opponents again.

A few hours later, the Dragon Rangers were once again in the Armory building, powered down and excited about their first real victory against the evil dragons.

General Saber Townsend, the talking magical sword, exclaimed, "Well done, my friends! You defeated General Shadowsarc and his black dragon monster. But there are surely going to be more battles to come, so if anyone would like to leave, now would be the time to do so. Just place your morphers back into the case if you choose to quit now."

Of course, no one budged, as Damien said, "We are in this for the long haul, Professor. Hear the roar."
