    Outside of Wolf Moon Bay; Unknown Location

    A meeting of super villains was taking place with their ringleader, Dr. Dementia, a rather evil lab rat with cybernetic replacements. "Would you be so kind as to say that again, Viking Lord? I just want to be sure we all heard you the first time."

    Viking Lord replied, "One of my cronies was casing out the gold train route to QC Switzerland when he saw that duck that's been patrolling Wolf Moon Bay during the day hours... but it was at night. And the duck was coated in a non-reflecting black dust. He flew in over the gold train, grabbed hold of the car containing the gold shipment for that night, pulled open the door while holding the train in place, loaded his satchel with only ten gold bars, then closed the car and let the train go as he flew away and into the night. My crony tracked him to a waterfall where he flew through it to wash off the black dust, then he zoomed off toward some stormy mountains at the speed of thunder."

    Dr. Dementia hummed with a smile. "So... either the Dark Knights aren't paying their members enough to play the hero, or one of their members needed some emergency funds."

    The Dust Whip, a canid female from QC Spain, said, "If we had pictures of the stupid duck doing the crime, we could give them to the authority, anonymously."

    Viking Lord grinned. "You mean..." He pulled out a satchel from his Viking Bag. "...these?" And he opened the satchel to reveal the infrared photographs taken that night and it was very obviously (to the villains) the Mighty Mallard doing the deed.

    Dr. Dementia grinned as he glanced at the other super villains gathered. "Would anyone else like to comment tonight or perhaps make a report on your own activities?"

      Wraithwolfe from QC Romania exclaimed, "Word of wisdom, colleagues... when the quagmire looks deep, be careful where you step. I don't want to have to come back later saying I told you so. I am going to return to Romania now. I'll be at the next regular meeting... maybe." And he got up and departed by phasing through the wall.

        Stallok, a warrior warlock from QC Austria, says with narrowed eyes, "There is a saying about friends at need.... Perhaps this hero can be.....tainted into a permanent fall from grace? It is not momma's little playground any more."

          The Next Morning; Wolf Moon Bay

          Mighty Mallard was wrapped up in a super resistant high security straitjacket and was being loaded into a transport bound for the Maximum Security Super Prison near Lucenec, Slovakia (mid way between Austria and Romania, just north of Budapest Hungary.)

          The press was like a media circus. It wasn't often that they got to see a so-called 'American-born hero' arrested.

          The only comment the duck would give was, "No comment."

          Aroma was on top of a building watching the whole thing. "No... they have to be mistaken. Sigmund would never do what they say he did. I can't believe it. I won't believe it. Some bad guy must be blackmailing him. Framing him."

            It was about all Reliquary could do to keep Terra leashed. As in, not allowing her to attack the authorities and press. "We'll find out what's going on, Terra... but if you attack, you'll look like a villain yourself. Calm yourself."

              Terra growled, "We put our necks on the line every day, and they want to treat us like this?" She gripped a fist, "I could bury them all in lava in half a instant!" She paces a little, extremely pissed of, "Attacking Sigmund for something he obviously wouldn't do. If someone is behind this... I swear they will regret the day they were born when I get my paws on them!"

              Adolf stood silently beside the Mallard, assisting in his most polite manner to ensure he was loaded up with secure care. Rather than friendly, he was notably professional and detached from the situation. After all, it was better that they see the Dark Knights as supporting justice and legal proceedings, even when it is one of their own. After all, even though he was being held, there would still have to be a court investigation and trial. When the last strap was firmly secured, with the arresting officers checking everything, Adolf addresses Sigmund. "The truth will come out in court, I am sure. I hope to see you home soon. I will ensure your room is properly kept for any searches but otherwise, kept properly cleaned and prepared for your return." Then he gives a polite butler bow and returns inside.

                Darcadia was still awake in his subterranean chambers watching the media show on TV. Damned sunlight. He knew something fishy was going on but he didn't know what. He knew Sigmund couldn't have done whatever it was he did. Strange that the authorities were only told to go arrest him; not what for in case any local heroes asked.

                "I know Sigmund is innocent. I wonder what the General knows about this. Time to call him. I hope he's still up."

                ~~~~~
                Reliquary held Terra. "Act like a villain and they will treat you like one. Is this what they taught you in SHAPE? Calm down, Terra. I know both you and Passages feel the same way. Still feels odd to call Aroma by that new name."
                  Terra growls and tries to throw Reliquary off her to continue pacing back and forth. "Don't you think I know that, Rel? But they're fucking with my family... I don't hate anything as much!" She looks back at Reliquary, "I swear I will roast the balls off the guy responsible for this."
                    Mighty Mallard wasn't talking which made the circus that much more intense. And then they loaded him into the transport shuttle and it lifted off for its trip to Slovakia.
                    Aroma grred. He was tempted to make the weather play unfair. Ever since he had his powers altered to include wind and near weather control magic... it would be child's play for him to run that shuttle through turbulence and micro-bursts.
                      After the call to the General, Darcadia was rather upset. He knew the General knew more than he let on, but he was more upset at the photographs that had been sent via the computer connection showing the crime being committed. Darcadia called for his teammates to gather in the sub-chambers immediately.
                      And once they were present, they could see why he sounded upset. He had each picture on a separate monitor larger than life and he was studying them. Trying hard to prove it wasn't Sigmund in those pictures.
                      Reliquary said, "Oh my crucifix."
                      Ghost Surfer and Siberia walked over and studied one of the pictures themselves.
                        Terra growls, "I can see one problem with this already. These are Infrared Photographs. Thus it is impossible to establish an identity based only on the photos. Infrared Photographs only record body heat. All these prove is that _A_ duck did it."
                          Darcadia commented, "True... but watch what happens when I activate ultra-violet on the monitors. And please don't zap my monitors..." And when he does it... it becomes very hard to say it isn't Sigmund. Although Terra is right... it could be any duck. But how many ducks that size have MM's exact costume design with a Dark Knights communicator on his wrist?
                          "Do you see why we have a problem with this? It could be any duck, yes... but he's wearing one of our communicators. Thing is... the General tried to hide his reaction well, but he knows something about this."
                          Reliquary then said, "Then Aroma must be right... someone made Sigmund do this, IF that is Sigmund in the picture. And if you suspect the General, then I suspect a sting operation that we weren't let in on. I wonder who they are after this time?"
                            Terra says, "Then it's simple. We'll go to the general, I'll summon a volcano, and we can hang him over the lava until he tells us what's going."
                              Aroma then said, "Terra... as much as I want the same thing, Reliquary is right. Act like a villain and get treated like one. And in our case, it IS worse. We're not European citizens. We could be deported to a prison back in QC America. And I'd rather be spanked by Noble Heart Horse before I allowed myself to go to prison."
