    Chapter One

Frozen felons covered in their own puke was not a pretty sight for Homeland Security to have to deal with as they picked up the awaiting frozen cargo. "Totally Yee-uck!" exclaimed one of the head officers, before he turned to look at Mallard Thunderbeak who was conferring with Ace and other city police officers. "Okay Mallard. I am impressed that you stopped these guys without causing property damage; unlike the Mighty Ducks in Anaheim. They cannot have an outing without blowing something up. Klegghorn has complained over their antics on more than one occasion. How is it that you can do what they cannot?"

In the blink of an eye, Mallard was point blank with the Homeland Security officer as he gave him a hug and a wink. "I didn't ask for these powers, as you probably know of my story by now. I was in a coma and Wraith the Saurian Sorcerer had a Puckworldian evil doctor injected my body with some sort of experiment they had been working on. I transformed into this duck body and it comes with an arrangement of powers including a temporary power slot that replaces itself; from week to week. One of my temp powers was to switch back to my human form for nearly a month. But I have since lost that power. This teleport power is the latest temporary power. Think Superman as a Duck with an extra power slot that changes from week to week."

Mallard then released the officer and said, "Unlike the other Puckworldian Ducks, I know we are not above the law and I feel we can do the job without destroying things. Besides, The Mighty Ducks were an ex-military unit back on their home world."

The Homeland Security officer groaned as he glanced up at the night sky. "My god. That sort of makes sense from the destruction they cause when going after crooks."

Mallard smiled. "I have one of them under my wing, a sidekick; and I have been training him to perform as we do without all of the explosions. He is surprisingly doing well; until he rejoins his team when they need him."

The young handsome officer said, "Just keep training him; you will surely get through to him eventually. Just tell him that he cannot be your sidekick if he blows things up. Looks like my buddies are ready to go, Mallard. Hope I get to see you again; you're a pretty nice duck." And the officer headed off to join his unit.

Mallard went back over to Ace and the others saying, "I just scored another young fan. I'm a pretty nice duck. End quote."

Ace then said, "I have noticed that a lot of your new fans are members of law enforcement, Mallard. I think the idea of a trustworthy law duck is growing on a few people."

Mallard smiled. "I suppose I am setting the standard for law ducks."

"How many do you have under your wing now, Mallard?" asked one of the other human officers.

Rubbing the bottom of his beak, Mallard replied, "Not counting my sidekick... and the two on the reserve team... Zero, Stefano, Eira, Fiona, Falcone, Drake 2 and the thirty mammalians under his command, the forty to fifty duck engineers and their families who joined up with us when we acquired our city and our star ship. It comes up to a little over a hundred non-human law enforcement mammals from other worlds all under my wing. And with our allies on Stallos II... It is a verifiable zoo of epic proportions. Mainly law horses and law jaguars. With the galactic war going on just beyond the boundaries of the Sol system, we are lucky to be in neutral space for the time being. The Galactic Patrol had to move their base of operations into our solar system for their own safety. Thankfully, they are willing to work with us when we need things."

Nosedive then approached Mallard and said, "Thanks for being patient with me, Mallard. My brother and I were the only ones not involved with the ex-military unit back on Puckworld. The others, were experts in their craft which included blowing things up. I was never meant to be part of their team. Canard originally wanted to leave me behind. But Wildwing said that if he wanted my brother, then I was part of the package or no deal. We had lost our parents early on in the Saurian Wars. If Canard were to return full time, they wouldn't need me in Anaheim for the weekly games. Then you could really mold me into shape as your partner."

Mallard smiled as he hugged Nosedive. "I don't care what the other ducks say about you, Dive. I may not have wanted you as my sidekick and partner at first, but you have presented some good ideas that have helped the team."

"I'm just glad that I get to be Uncle Nosedive for your twin children that Carol is currently carrying. Have you decided what to name them?"

Mallard replied, "Carol and I have talked about it and we have chosen the names of Catherine Skywing Wyndtrough for the girl and Richard Thunderwing Wyndtrough for the boy. Being completely human was the bonus that Carol's parents had a preference for. They just wanted to be grandparents to normal children."

Ace then said, "Their middle names are to be their Duck identifier names while the rest are their human society names."

At that moment, Mallard's communicator beeped. "Mallard speaking."

"Eira here, Boss Duck. I have some good news. As strange as this may sound, I think I have solved the issue with the dimensional transportation device. Do you want to know while the sidekick is around or would you rather wait until later?"

Mallard was waiting for this news, but Eira had a major point. For some reason, the Mighty Ducks didn't want Mallard to see whatever the big secret back on Puckworld was. "Eira; we cannot talk about that over this connection. We will meet later. Rendezvous in twenty. Mal out." He then looked to Nosedive and said, "Dive, I want you to go with Ace and brush up on some more of the law terms that he was educating you in. I'll be back later. I need to go neck with Eira."

Nosedive grabbed Mallard's arm. "Mallard, please... I swear to you; we Mighty Ducks are not hiding anything from you. Don't make me go off with Ace. I want to be with you."

    End of Chapter One

    Chapter Two

Mallard grabbed Nosedive's beak and he displayed a roll of duct tape. "If you cannot take orders, Dive, then the deal is off and I will have to place you under citizen's arrest like I did with Aramus that one time."

And then without warning, Mallard vanished in the blink of an eye leaving Nosedive with Ace and the others. Dive then said, "I just don't want anything bad to happen to Mallard."

Within Eira's lab back at base, Mallard appeared and said, "Dive almost crossed the line before I chose to come straight to you. I love this teleport power. So lay the news on me, Eira. I could use some good news."

Eira placed a bracer on Mallard's wrist as she said, "The portable wormhole generator was never made to transport more than one person across the void, Mal. Therefore, the solution to this dilemma is to have you use it to transport yourself back to Puckworld and once there, you plug this homing beacon chip into a communications mainframe computer on the real Puckworld and that will permit our star ship to make the trip between the real Puckworld and the real Earth whenever we like. But you have to get the homing beacon to the real Puckworld first. Think you can do that for the Puck Police?"

Mallard smiled. "And while I am up there this time, I should pick up the supplies that Dragaunus asked me to get the first time."

Eira said, "You don't have to be flying to be able to open the wormhole. Just open it and go. Do be careful, Mallard. We care about you as much as Carol does."

Pocketing the Homing Beacon Chip, Mallard stepped back and struck a pose before he said, "Pucker Up!" And in a flash, he transformed from his street clothes into his Puck Police commander uniform. Then, Mallard faced a wall and activated the wormhole generator and he leaped through the opening.

Moments later, Mallard arrived on Puckworld on what looked like the destroyed remains of a city street. He could see duck citizens trying to pick up the pieces of their world to make their lives livable once again. Exploring the city he had arrived within, he soon located the news communications building that Harmony Harper worked for and going inside the building, he made his way to the basement where an emergency news room and communications mainframe was fully operational. And he planted the homing beacon into the mainframe computer before heading out again. His next stop permitted him to find and pin to a wall... Dr. Theodore Quark. "Didn't expect to see me on Puckworld, did you? Just tell me how I can get restored to normal and I won't pluck you bald."

Dr. Quark replied, "Sad to say, Mallard, if I did help you return to your human form, you would immediately fall back into your coma. You are only awake and mobile in this duck body."

Mallard growled a little at that admission. "Give me a good enough reason to let you live, Quark!"

Dr. Quark then looked Mallard right in the eye as he stated, "Canard Thunderbeak is still alive. You can find him in a prison cell in the wormhole between worlds. That is where Wraith has him stashed. If he was dead, you wouldn't look like him any more. You would have a more unique duck appearance. Furthermore, Dragaunus expected you to get to Puckworld eventually. I've seen him on planet several times without his ship; the Raptor. He really wants his ship back on Puckworld. Look around of what is left of Puckworld before you choose to help him get his ship back here, Mallard. Do the people here look the way you would want the suffering to look on any world?"

Mallard then recalled how most of the ducks looked when he first arrived. Many were wearing the rags of their former clothes and boots. Many looked as if they hadn't eaten in days. "You win, Quark. But I have to bring something back to Dragaunus to prove that I finally got to Puckworld."

Dr. Quark then said, "If you load a few crates with Saurite Pollen, and then place the locks back on the crates, you could take that to Dragaunus. Saurite Pollen makes Saurians extremely sick and weak. It has no effect on mammals nor avians so you would personally be safe from the stuff. On your way back to Earth, attach a chain to the prison cell that Canard is trapped in and then tow it behind you on the trip back to Earth. Drop the prison cell off at your island base then take the pollen crates to Dragaunus and drop them off and leave stating that you found Quark and want to beat a cure out of me. He will believe that and he will simply let you go. Then you return to your base and you work on freeing Canard from the cell. I will go you one further favor, Mallard. I will give you the medical experiment documents regarding what we did to get you changed into a duck. You can work with your magic using friend whom convinced the Earth doctors to keep your life support systems on and he can try to decipher the experiment notes to see about restoring you to normal. Keep in mind, Mallard, should he succeed in restoring you to normal, you will lose all of your current powers. Make sure you really want to be human again before you attempt this."

Mallard replied, "It is something to consider carefully."

Dr. Quark nodded his head. "Should you choose to remain a Puckworldian empowered hero duck, I will provide your Puck Police team with medical supplies from our clinic. Last word I had was that you had well over two hundred ducks swearing fealty to you, Mallard."

After receiving the papers regarding the experiment and storing them into his backpack properly, Mallard was off to the warehouse to pick up the supply crates. Once inside the warehouse, Mallard opened a crate and proceeded to break each individual supply item before dumping Saurite Pollen all over the top of the supplies. He then sealed each supply crate and replaced the padlocks before placing these into a sack for the trip back to the wormhole. Mallard didn't have to break the supplies but he suspected a double cross from Quark in regards to the Saurite Pollen so the supplies were broken into two separate pieces. Last it was a jump back into the wormhole between worlds where as he followed Quark's directions to where he found the prison cell with the Puckworldian occupant. Without letting Canard see him, he said, "Are you Canard Thunderbeak of Puckworld?"

The occupant replied, "Yeah, I am. Why are you hiding and who are you?"

Mallard replied, "I will explain later but for now, I am with the Puck Police and I am rescuing you from this place." He attached the chain to the top of the cell and flew off with it.

    End of Chapter Two

      Chapter Three

Within Eira's lab back at base on Earth, Mallard reappeared from the wormhole portal with the prison cell in tow. "Eira... work on opening this cell while I am gone. I have to deliver these supplies to Dragaunus; not that it will do him a lot of good. I also need to go fetch my friend James. I will be back later."

Eira replied, "As you command, Mallard. See you soon." And she got to work om cutting through the lock on the small prison cell as Mallard vanished via teleportation. Aboard the Raptor, Mallard appeared with the supply crates. "Good news, Dragaunus! I finally reached the real Puckworld. Here are your supply crates. I also tracked down Dr. Quark; I need to return and beat a cure out of his worthless hide. Good luck on your repairs." And Mallard teleported away before Dragaunus could comment. Not to mention, he didn't want to watch the reaction when Dragaunus got the Saurite Pollen in his face. At James' home on Warlock Hill, Mallard asked James to come over to the island base that night to help decipher some mystic medical notes regarding his transformation. And then Mallard flew off over the bay of San Francisco as he put out the call to Nosedive. "Return to base, Dive. I need your help with something. Mallard out." And then he landed in the yard of his estate. As he landed, he saw Wraith waiting for him.

"I warned you, Wraith... you are not exactly welcome around here. Quark told me that you informed him about my project. That was the only way he could recite off the exact number of ducks I had under my command since he hasn't been on Earth since you and he changed me into this rotten duck form."

Wraith then said, "Hear me out, Mallard. Since Quark gave you the medical notes for the experiment and I know you are considering a restoration to your old body... I am willing to grant you partially what you think you really want. Quark did not lie when he said that if you gave up the duck to return to human form, you would fall back into a coma. However, I can tell you how you can reacquire the ability to shift back to your human identity if this is what you truly want. And I promise, this is not a trick this time. Dragaunus is already mad at me for making you into a duck at all. All you have to do is surrender one of your permanent powers which will be replaced with the human transformation power. Then you can be human whenever you like as when you had the power before it wore off and another power took its place."

Mallard said, "I will consider this offer; but I want to know something more: you knew about the alternate Puckworld dimensions before I bumbled through the other worlds, didn't you?"

Wraith nodded his snout. "Yes, what of it?"

Mallard continued. "The genetics of Canard Thunderbeak that you and Quark injected into me came from a version of Canard whom died during the experiment, didn't it? I know this because I recently found and rescued the real Canard Thunderbeak. He hasn't gotten to get a good look at me as yet. Just be honest with me, Wraith."

Wraith replied, "You are doing quite well for a law duck detective, Mallard. What you said is the truth; the only way that Canard would live again was if he resided within the body of a man whom had formerly been in a coma. You were chosen for that reason alone; no one else matched the criteria at the time. You were not supposed to end up with all of the powers you acquired after the fact. Quark and I are not sure why you became empowered simply by receiving that alternate Canard's DNA. You can do things he could never do."

Mallard then said, "Do I get to choose the power to give up or is there one that Dragaunus wants gone forever? I am not stupid, Wraith. Besides, I enjoy using my vision power to look at Nosedive when he lies to me."

Wraith made a face. "That is truly appalling, Mallard. But yes, you get to choose the power to replace."

Mallard then smirked, "If it is so appalling then why are you aroused?"

Wraith said, "Just choose your most annoying power to replace so I can get out of here."

Mallard remarked, "I want the temporary power slot replaced with the transformation ability into human. I get tired of getting a new power that goes away after seven to fourteen days. You did say the most annoying power."

Without warning, Dragaunus and Nosedive appeared in the yard where upon Dragaunus grabbed Wraith by his collar and Nosedive shielded Mallard with his own body.

"Stefano's early alert sensory alarm he installed in the estate yard worked really well!" stated Mallard's junior partner. "When we saw Wraith bothering you on the monitor, we sent Dragaunus a message to let him know that Wraith was up here yet again without his permission!"

Dragaunus didn't look too happy himself. "Wraith, you and Quark are in enough trouble for sabotaging the supply crates that I asked Mallard to retrieve for me. Every crate contained Saurian sorcerer powder along with broken supply parts. I cannot be angry with Mallard since he never opened the crates before he brought them to me."

Now Mallard was really upset; the so-called Saurite Pollen was actually a sorcery component to assist Wraith in his schemes on Earth. The Saurians didn't look violently ill in the slightest. Dragaunus did appear lividly angry which was his norm nearly all the time when dealing with his underlings. Mallard stepped around Nosedive where upon he grabbed Wraith's magical staff and he proceeded to snap the staff in one fell motion as he broke it over his knee which caused a bizarre explosion blasting those standing there; knocking them away from that spot. Mallard had collided with Nosedive and as the two landed in the what felt like the deepest end of the swimming pool, Nosedive placed his arm around Mallard's chest and he swam for the surface. Yet another unexpected twist; Nosedive could swim while Mallard could not.

When the two broke the surface of the water, Nosedive was surprised to see that they were in a river just off shore from what looked like a Puckworldian city and there were ice flows in the river as well. "What the? We're on Puckworld. I need to get Mallard out of the river." And he began towing his partner off toward the nearby shore.

When they reached the shore, Nosedive picked up Mallard in his arms and he began carrying his partner back through the city en route toward the Flashblade homestead.

      End of Chapter Three

        Chapter Four

Upon arriving at the Flashblade homestead, Nosedive laid Mallard out on the couch as he went into the bathroom to get some towels and some medical supplies. While Nosedive was gone, two other adult ducks came into the living room from a side room which was apparently a den office of some sort. The female knelt down to check out the unconscious duck on the couch while the male adult went toward the bathroom to also get some medical supplies. As Nosedive had just finished gathering medical supplies and towels in his arms, he had just barely turned around to return to the living room where upon he saw the adult male duck entering the bathroom at that moment. "...d-d-dad?" Nosedive dropped what he was holding out of shock as he hugged his deceased father fondly. It was now dawning on him that he and Mallard were either knocked into an alternate past or into their own past. Without the ship to get home, he wasn't looking forward toward trying to carry a comatose partner through the wormhole to return to Earth.

Mallard had awoken and when he saw a female duck he didn't know, he said, "Hello angel. I'm sorry if Nosedive brought us into your home after I hit my head on a sheet of ice. Where are we?"

The female adult duck replied, "That is close; you are at our home just outside of Puck City. My name is Angela Flashblade. My husband, Drake, went to check on Nosedive."

Mallard suddenly cringed back in realization. "Are you guys his parents?"

Angela smiled. "Why of course we are, Canard; you know that since you live next door."

Mallard sat up and placed his feet on the floor. "Look, ma'am... I am not Canard Thunderbeak. I am his ...distant cousin... Mallard Thunderbeak; A police cadet in training. We simply look alike. Canard is older than I am by a year. People make this mistake all the time."

Nosedive and Drake Flashblade then returned to the living room, and when Nosedive saw that Mallard was awake he hugged him and said, "I am so glad you are not comatose again, Mallard. I see you met my mother, Angela Flashblade. And this is my father, Drake Flashblade." It appeared that Nosedive wanted to say more, but he was at a loss as to what to say to cover where they needed to be in front of the parental figures.

Mallard gently patted Nosedive on his back before they stood up and backed up toward the front door. Well, they started to... when a younger Wildwing and Nosedive came inside the house with a younger Canard Thunderbeak. Mallard then said, "Well, partner; now we really have a problem. We have to tell them the truth." He turned toward the shocked parents as the Puck Police leader of Earth said, "My partner and I are part of a secret defense program called Project Tomorrow. We were testing one of the parameters of the program and we accidentally projected ourselves into Nosedive's past. We never meant to surprise you folk in this manner since we are from your future. My partner and I need to return there and make sure the program gets repaired so an accident like this does not occur again."

Drake remarked, "And my future son was sadly teary eyed because in your time period, Angela and I are no longer alive? No, he did not tell me this; I am merely making a guess based on your project and where you are from."

The younger Nosedive looked excited! "Wow! My future self! But I thought this wasn't possible due to the rules of time travel... a time traveler is not supposed to be able to exist in his own past as long as his past self exists. Am I wrong?"

Mallard grinned when the past Nosedive said that. "New theory, partner... yet another dimension. We thankfully are not in your past. Now we need to get home."

The younger Canard Thunderbeak said, "How come you look like me? What happened in your dimension to make this happen?"

Mallard knelt down to face the younger duck. "I am a citizen of another world. I originally was not a duck. Your counterpart whom thought he was dying wanted to make sure his skills made it to someone who could carry on his legacy. I was in a coma on my world at the time and they injected me with the genetics that your counterpart donated to give his skill and ability gifts to. I was transformed into your species where upon I gained his appearance and his skills. But then, he made a miraculous recovery but by then, it was too late. I had already been transformed into his likeness. I chose to call myself Mallard so as to avoid the confusion that would occur when people saw your older self and me at the same time."

Not the truth, but they had to be careful in what they told these people. In truth, Mallard just wanted to get himself and Nosedive out of there before anyone else arrived to prevent their leaving. "Come on Partner, we need to see if we can re-open the dimensional gate on this side so we can return to the project."

Angela then said, "One moment, Mallard... before you go, perhaps there is something Drake and I can do to help Nosedive in his dimension without breaking any rules." Angela escorted Drake off into another room and when they returned, Mallard was handed a first aid container. "The two vials within contain my husband's as well as my own genetic material. Perhaps you can recreate the both of us in your dimension so as to help your version of Wildwing and Nosedive."

Mallard took the container and safely stored it into one belt pouch on his armored belt. "My partner and I really need to go now. Please try to forget that you saw us here. I don't know how many rules we are breaking simply by being here."

The younger boys escorted Mallard and Nosedive off into the backyard to a location near the river. That was when the younger Canard said, "My counterpart died, didn't he? There was some sort of war and I didn't make it, did I?"

Mallard sighed. He was hoping they could get away before someone made that assumption. "I'm sorry, Canard... We didn't want to reveal too much. Your counterpart was lost in dimensional limbo shortly after the Saurian Invasion. Nearly everyone said one of two things; one, he didn't make it; two, he might still be alive. We simply do not know. What I will say is this, he was not nice to Nosedive and wanted to leave the kid brother behind. But as you can see now, Nosedive is important to the Project. Without him, we likely would not have been able to figure out a lot of the issues that we did solve before this accident. Could you please try to be nicer to Nosedive? It might make your own future work out better."

Placing one arm around his partner Nosedive, Mallard lifted off superhero style and then he opened the dimensional gate to Earth in mid-air before flying through it.

        End of Chapter Four

          Chapter Five

Back on Earth from the deepest end of the Swimming pool, Mallard and Nosedive flew up out of the water before hovering there briefly. "A Water gate;" said Mallard. "No wonder we ended up in a past counterpart of the Puckworld Dimension. Now we need to get back into the estate house and get ourselves dried off. That water is too cold. Feathers are good insulation but not good enough for my tastes." They then entered the estate house where some time in a heated room was taken advantage of.

Shortly after that, Mallard handed the genetic samples over to Eira and James. "New project, Eira; James." He pulled out the vials containing the genetic materials for Wildwing's and Nosedive's parents. "See if you can bio-engineer the recreation of these two ducks to full life. They are the parents of Wildwing and Nosedive. Once they live again and are well enough to be transferred, we will ship them down to Anaheim where Wildwing can put up with them. I have way too many ducks under my command to add more to the number."

At that moment, the real Canard (whom Mallard had rescued a few chapters ago) walked into the command center and said, "Mallard? Canard One would like to scan you to check on something regarding your powers. You might not like it but better to be safe than sorry."

Mallard growled, "It is always something. Okay, Canard, lets go. Come on Nosedive; we need to let the wizards work on their project."

As they walked down the hallway, Canard said to Nosedive, "I am sorry I wasn't nicer to you back on Puckworld."

Nosedive said, "Aw, don't sweat it, Canard. I get to spend time with Mallard these days and you will obviously get to have my Bro all to yourself..." He then paused for effect before continuing. " bed." He winked with a laugh.

Canard said, "That isn't how it is, Dive!"

Nosedive smirked. "I've never seen you and Wildwing with any girls back home, so if I didn't nail it, then what were you guys doing?"

Mallard then said with a smile. "He is just pulling your leg, Canard. Besides, Wildwing is going to be a sponsor dad in a few weeks when their sponsor boy moves in with them at the pond. Then Nosedive will have a new joke to play with."

At that moment, the three passed Drake Ducaine and a few of his officers in the hallway. With a polite wave, they continued their walk.

Canard remarked, "It always freaks me out to see Drake Ducaine in the hallways here in your base, Mallard."

Mallard nodded his head. "We rescued him and his people the same way I rescued you, Canard. Eira has already confirmed that they are for real the same way you got the confirmation for being real and not simply a Saurian in disguise."

Canard nodded his head. "It still bothers me. I mean, we should have been able to restore Puckworld by now and we are having to rely on your help in regards to almost everything necessary for us ducks to get things back on track."

Mallard stopped at the door leading into the Canard One chamber. "I never asked to be changed into your younger twin, Canard. Wraith says that without the transfusion of your genetic material into my body, I would still be in a coma. Now let us see what Canard One wants to tell me." And they walked into the main Puck Police Labs.

Within the main labs, Mallard held still for Canard One to scan his body for whatever the emergency re-assessment was about.

Moments later, Canard One said, "It is as I feared, Mallard. When you broke Wraith's staff over your knee, you absorbed the staff's magical powers and they are now part of your powers package. This means that you can learn magical spells the same as your friend James can use and perhaps more. I am also detecting that you currently have access to every power you have ever experienced in the temporary slot. However, the temporary slot is currently missing from your body, yet I am still detecting it close by; now scanning the room..." After another moment, Canard One said, "Oh my, this is unusual. Nosedive, you have a lesser copy of all of Mallard's powers. The explosion of the staff copied Mallard's powers into your body. But please do not go crazy with these powers. You could lose them at any time. Use them wisely."

As a short test, Nosedive focused on floating in mid-air the way Mallard did in the early days. And sure enough... Nosedive was flying in mid-air. "Lifting off was easy. How do I make myself land?"

Mallard chuckled. "It took me nearly ten minutes to figure it out, Dive. You're a comic book fan; how do you think it works?"

And as if the proverbial comic book light went on over his head, Nosedive landed on the floor. "Thanks, Mallard. I was starting to get scared."

Canard One then said, "Because Nosedive was the closest to you when the staff's power erupted, only he got a copy of the powers, Mallard; the Saurians were not close enough to you to receive any benefit from this."

The real Canard then said, "Hoo boy. Dragaunus won't be happy to learn what Wraith's stupid staff did this time."

Mallard chuckled. "I hope he has a nice long punishment in mind for the silly Sorcerer. I am really getting tired of his constant interference in my life."

Nosedive then said, "Perhaps you should call Dragaunus out of concern for your ally and ask him if anything bad happened to him and Wraith during the explosion."

Canard said, "Just don't mention Dive ending up with powers; maybe Dragaunus will reveal something useful that we can use to better prepare ourselves."

            Chapter Six

"This is Mallard calling Dragaunus! Come in, Godzilla Red! Is there someone close to the monitor who can answer my call!"

When the monitor came on, they saw Siege whom looked very surprised that Mallard was actually calling. "Hey! You don't look like you were blown to atoms! What do you need, Mallard?"

Mallard wasn't happy that the Saurians thought that he was destroyed in the staff explosion. "Wraith's staff failed to kill me, Siege. I was calling out of concern to my ally Dragaunus. I know he was caught in the explosion that put Nosedive and I out of the world for a few hours. Where is your boss anyway? And please tell me that Wraith is under a punishment for making my powers even stronger."

Siege turned pale on the screen. "Stronger? Uh oh... They are all out in Anaheim attacking the Mighty Ducks. When Dragaunus thought you were killed, he returned to his last avenue of business which was to get rid of the ducks. He told me to guard the Raptor. Do you want me to call him?"

Mallard said, "No Siege, you can await my newest delivery. Someone has to be at the Raptor when I arrive. Mallard Out."

He ended the call and then he sounded the red alert for the Puck Police! "This is Boss Duck Mallard! We are about to launch! The Mighty Ducks are in trouble! But we have a side mission before that!"

Thirty minutes later, the Puck Police Cruiser was hovering on a random street in Anaheim where Mallard opened the hatch of the shuttle and he aimed the Wormhole Generator toward the ground just under an empty looking building just in front of where their cruiser was hovering. Slowly the entire building began to rapidly vanish down the wormhole. Just before the building was all the way down the hole, the illusion over the building failed and they saw the Raptor falling through the rest of the hole moments before Siege was seen laying face down on the street and the wormhole was closing up. Mallard closed the shuttle's hatch and then they flew down to where they could detect Klegghorn and the Mighty Ducks in a losing situation in the outskirts of Anaheim itself. As the Puck Police Shuttle landed just behind Klegghorn's police cruiser, Mallard joined the human police officer where he handed Klegghorn a new weapon. "Give this a try on behalf of the Puck Police, Klegghorn."

Klegghorn fired off the new rifle and an entire row of robots simply fell into a jumble of tinker toy parts. "I sure am glad you are on my side, Mallard!"

Mallard said, "Where are the Ducks pinned down at?"

Klegghorn replied, "Just beyond that hill at the end of the street. I saw their shuttle crash land over there and since then, this whole area has been a war zone."

Mallard said, "Dragaunus thought I had died, so he resumed his attacks on the Mighty Ducks. Time for me to see about rescuing a few ducks, if they let me." In the blink of the eye, Mallard vanished and just beyond the hill in the distance, Mallard appeared almost point-blank with Duke and Mallory. "Time to get injured ducks out of here, guys. Who needs a free ride on the Mallard express?"

Mallory said, "Wildwing is the most injured, the rest of us were protected by our seat belts."

Mallard then broke the fourth wall and said, "Remember kids, seat belts save lives." Then he focused on the situation at hand as he went over and he picked up Wildwing in his arms. "You are going to owe me for this, Wildwing. Are you in that big of a hurry to join your parents in the grave?"

He then said to the others, "Gather anything you cannot be without and then grab a hold of my body. We are about to teleport out of here. Oh and Tanya, set the self-destruct timer on the Thunderbeak. We will have to build you guys a new one."

As Dragaunus and his troops were about to launch the final assault on the crash site a deathly silence fell across the battle zone. Even Klegghorn had stopped firing (especially since Mallard had taken his weapon back.) Dragaunus and his Saurian robots along with Chameleon and Wraith approached the downed Mighty Ducks shuttle they saw that the hatch had been closed up tight as if they were hiding within. As the robots worked on opening the hatch, the Puck Police cruiser lifted off and began to fly back to the North across Anaheim carrying Klegghorn and his police cruiser via tractor beam back to Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay. Klegghorn's police cruiser was set down next to Ace's police car and then the puck police shuttle flew around and entered the hangar doors to park privately within the island base.

On the other side of Anaheim, just as the robots were prying open the downed shuttle's door, the Thunderbeak exploded without warning destroying every robot and injuring all Saurians whom were point-blank with the blast site. Only Siege was uninjured since he was several blocks away where the Raptor had once been parked.

Wildwing was carried into the sick bay of the Puck Police headquarters where they had professional Puckworld doctors on standby waiting to work on mending Wildwing's injuries. In the meantime, Eira and James spoke to Mallard in another chamber. "We remade their bodies, Mallard; although we do not know how to wake them up. If we cannot get a miracle to assist with this project, then all of our hard work would be for nothing."

Mallard said, "Permit me to try something. If it doesn't work, then we may have to do to other humans as they did to me."

James said, "Be careful, Mallard; Carol will kill us all if something bad happens to you."

Mallard procured a sterile hypodermic needle and stuck himself with it so as to withdraw some of his own blood which he knew had the universal donor blood as well as the miracle serum mixed in and then he injected equal portions into both the female and male adult duck bodies before utilizing his enhanced magically altered powers to duplicate the defibrillator effect on both individuals; once, twice... and then a third time as finally, the heart beat monitors began to produce the proper beeps to indicate that they were alive. "Eira? James? Get in here! Keep them alive however you can! I will have Nosedive come in here and be here in case they wake up!" Mallard then entered Wildwing's room where the doctors were working on him. "How is he doing, doctors?" They replied, "He will do better if we can get Nosedive out of here."

            End of Chapter Six

              Chapter Seven

Mallard grabbed Nosedive and pulled him out into the hallway. "New job, Officer Dive. Your brother is in that room and your parents are in this room. If your parents wake up first, I need you to speak to them and fill them in on current events. Do not tell them that Wildwing got injured. Instead, the story is that your Big bro is helping the Puck Police. I need to go prepare some dinner. I had to use some of my own blood to revive your parents."

When Mallard entered the kitchen, he found Klegghorn enjoying some coffee and Phil sitting to one side looking very worried. "Wildwing will pull through, Phil. But he needs his rest. He isn't awake yet. He nearly bought it this time. I posted Nosedive as the guard to the rooms. If there is a game to be played, I will fill in for him; but not permanently, Phil. As you may remember... I have nearly 200 ducks whom all know the game. Now if you will excuse me, I need to prepare myself some dinner. I had to use my own blood to revive two injured ducks." And he went over the open the refrigerator to make himself some dinner.

Klegghorn then said, "Mallard. You better just sit down. You are wobbling where you are standing. ACE! Your boy needs you!"

Ace came in from the den and when he saw what condition Mallard was in, he forced the leader to sit down on the couch and he took over making dinner. "I promised your parents I would take care of you, Sigmund. I don't care if you are Mallard on the outside of that body; you are still Sigmund to Carol and I."

Falcone then came in and sat down beside Mallard as he quietly pulled out a vial of some medicine or something and he poured it into Mallard's beak and made the leader swallow it. Then he put the vial away and said, "Don't ever say that I wasn't willing to share one of my family cures with you, boss. This should help you recover the energy that everyone's aunt's cousin's uncle keeps trying to make you waste. We cannot afford to lose you, Mallard." He then gave Mallard a fond hug before getting up and heading off to join the others downstairs in the base lair.

Mallard then forced himself to get up and he walked over to the sink where he tilted his head down under the faucet as he turned on the cold water to get himself a drink to wash away the bad taste of the alien medicine. When he finished that, he said, "I have to go use the toilet, Ace. If I don't come out in thirty minutes, send in the Marines with a life preserver. I don't remember ever being so tired just from running around and playing sports." And he proceeded off for the rest room.

Ace then said toward Klegghorn, "If he wasn't in that duck body, I would just take him back to the hospital. This duck business is starting to get ridiculous."

Klegghorn grinned. "Now you know what I put up with in Anaheim."

Phil then said, "One time nearly all of the ducks got sick from some weird illness except for Duke and he went off someplace and returned with what he called a family cure. After having every duck drink a teaspoon of this stuff, the ducks recovered. I asked Duke what was in the stuff and he stuffed a spoonful of the nasty stuff in my mouth and I ended up in the bathroom for nearly thirty minutes. It is good for ducks, but not so much for humans."

Ace rubbed his chin as he said, "Falcone just gave Sigmund some sort of liquid medicine he called a family cure and then Sigmund felt the need to go use the toilet after he drank some water. Do you suppose that cure was the same one that Duke retrieved for the Mighty Ducks?"

Phil said, "If it was, then when Mallard emerges from the rest room, he will be hungry at first, then after eating, he will pass out and sleep all night long. When he wakes up later, he will feel like he got all of his health and energy back."

Klegghorn face-palmed himself slowly. "This is the crazy duck cures I have to put up with back in Anaheim. These cures work but they are so annoying."

A while later, a cleaned up Mallard emerged from the toilet and he came into the kitchen where he ate ten cheeseburgers with ketchup before yawning and he attempted to head off to his bedroom. Ace caught Mallard before he could slump to the hallway floor just outside of the bedroom and then he dragged the big duck off into his room and put him to bed. "Just rest, sleeping beauty. You better have nice dreams about Carol and the twins she will be birthing soon."

The following morning at quite a ridiculous early hour, Mallard arose from his bed and he stood up as he looked into the mirror. "Power Down." And Mallard transformed into his human identity of Sigmund Wyndtrough. Then he struck a sexy pose before saying to the mirror, "Pucker Up!" And the glow returned all over Sigmund's body as he once again transformed back into Mallard Thunderbeak wearing his Puck Police uniform with his duck name on a name plate positioned just above a police star on the right side of his chest. He then looked himself all over with a beak smile. "Mallard is back! And ready for action! Lets go see what the guys are doing!" He teleported without warning and he appeared in Wildwing's recovery room where he leaned down and gave Wildwing a gentle beak to beak kiss. "Come on handsome. Wake up. I don't want to fill in for you this coming Saturday."

Wildwing's eyes opened as he made a face. "Mallard. What is up with you? Did you have to kiss me like that? I was having a dream about Mallory."

Mallard smiled. "I just recovered from Duck Exhaustion Sickness I was about out of energy before Falcone gave me the medical cure last night. I just woke up this morning feeling like a million ducks. Or is it a million bucks in rut? Please be well enough to play on Saturday, Wildwing. I really don't want to fill in for you again. Or do you want me to ride you doggy style? You better recover or else your reputation among the ladies is over. I need to go check on your revived parents."

Wildwing said, "My parents? You revived our parents? Oh Mallard! I am sorry I was so difficult toward you. I'm sorry..." He was sobbing after that.

Mallard grinned. "It gets better, Wildwing. We found and rescued the real Canard whom was still alive. He is now in the base with us. Get better so you can spend some time with him."

Wildwing was hugging Mallard tightly at that point. He couldn't form any words since he was overjoyed over the miracle gifts that Mallard had given him upon rescuing and getting him medical treatment after the ambush in Anaheim.

Mallard said, "Wildwing, you are going to owe me big time for saving your cute ass this time. But we can talk about that later. Now get some rest and you better be up soon."

              End of Chapter Seven

                Chapter Eight

An hour later, Mallard noticed over the security monitor that Dragaunus and the rest of his Saurians had arrived at the estate grounds topside and so, Mallard went topside to meet up with his so-called ally. "I appreciate your showing up as a group this time, Dragaunus. What do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

Dragaunus replied, "As stupid as this will sound, we misplaced the Raptor. Siege was supposedly guarding it and he woke up on the street. We need your help to find our missing ship. Please, as an ally, Mallard. I have no gripe against you alone."

Mallard then glared once at Wraith whom seemed to have a replacement staff already. "You mean to tell me that Mister Saurian Sorcery cannot transport you directly to your ship? It really does not look like he is under a punishment for all the times he has harassed me, Dragaunus. However, as an ally, I will assist you in locating your ship. What makes you think I might know where it is?"

Siege then said, "Because you called me and said you were making a delivery to the ship and then you never showed up."

Mallard replied, "On our way to the Raptor, We got a distress call from the Mighty Ducks because Wildwing was injured. And when he is down, I am always asked to fill in for him during their stupid games. As I told Dragaunus before, I hate ice skating."

Mallard then closed his eyes while utilizing his new copy of the sorcery powers combined with the Wormhole Generator where upon a portal opened to one side of the estate grounds which led into the hold of the Raptor, exactly as he had planned. "One of you go inside and make sure that is the Raptor."

Dragaunus picked up the one he thought was the most useless as he threw him head first into the Raptor's hold. "Explore the ship and report back to me, Chameleon."

Soon Chameleon returned to the portal and said, "It is the Raptor all right, your glorious greatness. I found my pizza in the ice box right where I left it." And he ate a slice of the freshly cooked pizza as proof. "The Raptor seems to be parked on a barren world by itself. No one else is around."

Wraith then entered the portal and went to check out his personal quarters. When he returned, he said, "It is indeed the real Raptor, my liege. My spell book is still open to the last page I had been reading before our outing."

Dragaunus and Siege then entered the Raptor through the portal where upon the portal winked out of existence the moment the last Saurian passed through it!

Mallard grinned slyly wondering when Dragaunus would learn that the Raptor was parked on an engine dead and magic dead dimensional version of Puckworld with a gravity of twice the normal gravity of the real Puckworld in the current dimension. He hated kicking Dragaunus off the planet but since he was not lifting a claw finger to punish Wraith, Mallard was tired of playing their stupid game. He only had so much patience. "Silly Saurians." And then he returned to the base.

On the Raptor side, when the portal winked closed unexpectedly, Dragaunus out of reflex turned quickly to blast a possible attacker from behind only to find his wrist laser not working. "What in the world? Why is my wrist blaster not working?"

Siege then tried his blaster. "Mine isn't working either."

Dragaunus then said, "Wraith, re-open that portal."

Wraith tried to weave a spell only to get a few sparkles which turned into black powder before falling to the floor. "My sorcery seems to be blocked, my liege. I suspect Mallard had something to do with this."

Chameleon then said, "Maybe he wouldn't have done this to us had you left him alone after messing with him the first time. Every time Dragaunus ordered you to leave him alone, you continued to go bother him."

Siege then said, "At least we are not in dimensional limbo this time. According to the arrangement of the stars, boss, we are on Puckworld. But we are the only ones here."

Wraith then said, "There is a chance we might be able to get out of here, my liege. I am discerning that it takes twice the power to make our powers work in this version of Puckworld."

Dragaunus then said, "What are the chances of dropping the Raptor with us aboard through a Wormhole portal to the Planet Sauron?"

Wraith said, "The Saurian home world? If you work together with me as we hold on to the supports of the ship, we could open the portal directly under the ship so we could land just outside of the Ship Crafting factories of Sauron. We could surely get the Raptor repaired there."

Preparing for the super 'twice the strength' spell took nearly three hours but finally, Wraith and Dragaunus chanted in unison to open the wormhole portal to Planet Sauron in the real dimension. The Raptor rapidly fell through the open hole and slammed loudly into the ground just outside of the factories which made several Saurians emerge from the factory to see what had arrived. When they saw the Raptor, several cheers erupted to indicate they were pleased that their lost king had returned home.

Wraith said, "My normal powers have returned, my liege. It will take time to recharge the wrist blasters. We should use our time wisely here on the home world while repairing the Raptor so we can resume our attacks against the Mighty Ducks." Siege then came down from the bridge of the ship and said, "Bad news, Dragaunus. The navigation chip containing the travel maps to Puckworld as well as Earth is missing. Not broken, but physically removed. We will need a new one."

Dragaunus wanted to wring Wraith's neck for sure now. "Mallard pulled out the stops this time. Why couldn't you have just left him alone, Wraith? I was starting to like having him as an ally we could actually trust."

                End of Chapter Eight

                  Chapter Nine

Friday morning, Mallard was glad to see Wildwing out of bed and sitting with the real Canard Thunderbeak. Tanya was working with Eira to unlock the navigation chip that Mallard had stolen out of the Raptor the previous day. Stefan was helping the two since it was a tech project.

Nosedive and Phil approached Mallard as Phil laid out the information sheets on Saturday's opposing team. Phil said, "These bruisers are not nice guys, ducks. Mallard, I know you do not want to fill in for Wildwing but... we may have to ask the reserve team to come in and help us deal with these barbarians. Not to mention, The Mighty Ducks sponsor boy is due to show up sometime during the game on Saturday. Word is that he won the Sponsor a Prince contest which was the rights to move in with a family unit which has an animated TV show based on their adventures. He chose the Mighty Ducks. He also likes Daffy Duck; a literal duck fan."

Nosedive said, "Like a total opposite of Aramus. Speaking of which. He hasn't been around here in nearly a month, Mal. What did you do to him?"

Mallard grinned. "I went out and bought him the all new Nintendo operating system along with a collection of games that cover his hero Mario. He is a perfectionist when it comes to solving video games. We probably won't see Aramus for an entire year."

Zero walked up and said, "That's too bad; he and I were getting along there at the end. Of course, with Nosedive as my temporary roommate when he isn't helping his brother's team, I have been sleeping better. I hate to sleep alone."

Wildwing came over and stood with his brother. "Since we need to go prepare for these brutes, bro, we need to return to Anaheim. Canard said he would stay here and watch over our parents whom were not up to traveling as yet." He then looked to Mallard. "How goes the Thunderbeak rebuild?"

Mallard replied, "The factory on Pucklantis will have it ready by tomorrow morning. Since you need to return to Anaheim today, I will be escorting you guys, Phil and Klegghorn via the tractor beam. Since I kicked the Saurians off the planet, I don't trust them to stay gone. I mean, I didn't mind Dragaunus; but the others were getting on my nerves."

"Especially Wraith," added Nosedive with a growl. "If he would just stay away from you, Mallard, the Mighty Ducks wouldn't have to keep coming up here. Anyway, I need to head off with my brother, Mal. I am not going to complain this time because even I want to meet up with my newest little sponsor brother."

Mallard then said, "Zero? With Nosedive off with his brother and their team, you will be sleeping with me and Sigmund tonight. That plushy was the best idea that Carol ever came up with. It keeps us both honest when we have to sleep together. As for the rest of you Mighty Ducks, time to get you guys back to Anaheim. I will bring in the Reserve Team during mid-game to help out against these bruisers. So help me, Wildwing, if you get hurt again, I am going to put your duckhood on ice as a punishment."

Just after dropping off the Mighty Ducks at the Pond in Anaheim, Mallard suddenly got emergency calls from both Maverick and Carla, the very reserve team members he was going to contact later. "Mallard speaking."

"Boss Duck! Chameleon is causing trouble down here in Texas. I could use some help. May I have permission to kill this little slime?"

"'ey Mate! Carla 'ere! Siege is causing my friends some trouble down under! Ah thought youse were 'andling these rotten blighters!"

Mallard replied, "Maverick! You have everyone's permission to fry the little slime. No one likes Chameleon all that much. Carla, I sent their group to another dimension. I guess they found their way back. Puck Police are on the way to both locations! I could sure use Nosedive tonight. We'll just have to make due with what we have."

In Texas, the team arrived in time to see Maverick set himself on fire and transform into a nightmare of a duck that had a frightening voice like something from the pits of Hell itself. "Since you want to keep attacking me, Chameleon, I will just have to escort you directly to Hell with me! My boss gave me permission to kill you!"

Chameleon said, "I'll go hide behind Siege! You won't get me there!" And he activated his teleportation bracer and vanished from the ranch.

Maverick whom was now the nightmare duck leaped into the sky and boarded the Puck Police cruiser. "Chameleon fled to Australia! Lets go after him, Mallard! Am I hot or what?"

Mallard replied, "If I said yes, Carol would kill me. I expect to hear this story later on how you got powers. Lets go give Carla a helping wing."

Maverick grinned. "When I am like this, just call me Hellfire. I can control the nightmare elements."

Mallard was then muttering. "I am loyal to Carol. I am loyal to Carol. I am loyal to Carol. I am loyal to Carol. I am loyal to Carol."

Hellfire grinned. "Don't put yourself down, Mallard. You are one of the hottest sexiest ducks in the force. That is what impressed me about you in the beginning. You can be loyal and supportive to the rest of your team at the same time. If it weren't true, you wouldn't be sleeping part time with both Nosedive and Zero and anyone else you might have slept with since I went to Texas. You are hot and you know it."

Mallard smirked. "Maybe; but I am not trying to be a sex symbol. Not every bird wants to be in bed with me, thank the gods."

Hellfire grinned yet again. "Carol is lucky to have a catch like you, Mallard."

Zero smiled. "He is right, Mallard. While I behave while sleeping with you, others may have other designs."

Falcone silently thought to himself. (I am attracted to Mallard myself, but I cannot say something without Nosedive going defensive. I sure am glad he had to return to Anaheim.)

                  End of Chapter Nine

                    Chapter Ten

In Australia, Mallard quickly saw the Raptor parked next to a Uranium Silver Mine and in the far distance, Siege, Chameleon and Wraith were harassing Carla McCall. There was no sign of Dragaunus anywhere. "Totally uncool!" exclaimed Mallard as he opened the hatch to let Hellfire go play. "Let us help the lady, guys!"

Hellfire leaped out of the Puck Police Cruiser and with a rolling flip, he landed directly beside Carla. "Hey Siege! Throw Chameleon out to me and I won't fry your scales while I am trying to kill the little slime."

Siege feeling the urge to live, grabbed Chameleon and threw him through the air toward the burning duck.

Hellfire grinned. "See? All you gotta do is ask."

Leaping out of the Puck Police Cruiser, Mallard flew over the area while bringing out his new police 'shoulder cannon' rifle and he fired it directly at the energy hose extending from the Uranium mine to the Raptor. This resulted in a massive explosion which knocked Mallard head over heals backwards through the sky back passed where the fight with Carla and the others was occurring. Mallard crash landed hard in the dusty outback soil, rocks and mud where upon he lost conscious afterward.

When he awoke, he found himself laying on a doctor's table and standing beside where he lay was what appeared to be a six foot tall kangaroo boomer partially dressed in a combination of armors and a rugged physician's outfit. "Oh boy... what a landing... where am I?"

The kangaroo doctor remarked, "Ah'm just about finished with yer treatment, mate. Ah am called Victor Devlin; ordinarily a demon 'unter and a station physician as well as being a natural born Were-Kangaroo. A few of my mates found yas in a crater some ways from 'ere and they brought yas in so Ah could treat yer scrapes and bruises. Ah 'ave seen many transformation cases in my days, mate. But yers looks like a case of multiple tampering." He then finished wiping a damp cloth over Mallard's head and shoulders. "All done, mate. Now lets see about getting yas back to yer mates. They are probably worried sick about yas."

Mallard slowly turned to get off of the table as he looked at the handsomely adorable boomer. "Thanks for cleaning me up, stud. What do I owe you for this?"

Victor smiled at the duck man as he leaned in and kissed Mallard on the neck. "Let me know where yer base is and Ah will provide yas with some Aussie brand medicines and salves occasionally. Ah can even teach yas some magic if yer capable of learning it."

Mallard grinned. "I am capable of learning magic as of recently. A friend of mine in San Francisco is a magic user himself. How can I get in touch with you later, stud boy?"

The boomer smiled as Mallard and said, "Ah can teach yas a spell to open a door to Spirit Land. Or as magicians like to call it, Backstage. Typically we only permit good people to travel there. And Ah think yer a swell young man albeit stuck in a duck body." And after one instructional later. "Now give, where's yer 'ome base?"

Mallard kissed the kangaroo back on his muzzle. "An estate at the top of Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay harbor. I live there with my wife, my guardian, and the rest of the Puck Police. Come on by any time you like, stud. Man... just being in the same room with you is arousing me something fierce. I am so sorry."

Victor grinned. "It tends to happen when nice people spend time around me. But Ah likes yas a lot, Mallard. Lets get yas back to Carla and the others. Just walk through this station door and yas will appear in 'er station 'ome. Ah 'ope to see yas soon, Mallard."

Victor opened the door which seemed to lead into a mist and after Mallard walked out the door, he closed it behind the duck man soundly.

Mallard found himself within a back hallway within Carla's station house. He looked directly behind himself and only saw a solid wall. "Clever use of Spirit Doors, Victor. I am going to miss your nice scent. Time to get back to work." And he headed through the house where he emerged from the front door and he saw his team standing outside looking over a search map of the Outback. "Looking for me, mates?"

He was then in the middle of a group hug. Zero said, "We found your new rifle but you were no where to be found in the crash site crater. Where have you been?"

Mallard grinned as he looked directly at Carla. "Backstage, mates. Time to head home. We are likely going to have help out the Mighty Ducks at tomorrow's game, my friends. I'll give you the call if that turns out to be the case."

Loading up the Puck Police Cruiser, Mallard and his friends escorted Maverick back to his Texas ranch, before setting in a course for San Francisco. Not long after arriving at Angel Island, Mallard confronted Ace and gave him the official update on the return of the Saurians. "They are still after resources, Ace. I really thought that once Dragaunus got his ship back up into space, he would have opted to stay up there. But imagine our surprise to see his ship parked in Australia stealing Uranium Silver from the Aussie government. Although we didn't see Dragaunus on this trip, that rotten Wraith was with Siege and Chameleon harassing Carla down under. But this time, I befriended a nice Were-Kangaroo physician who offered to share some healing salves and ointments with the Puck Police. Victor Devlin is a pretty nice boomer."

Ace remarked, "Phil called while you were away. He said that the reserve team definitely needs to make an appearance during tomorrow's game in Anaheim. He further said that the opposing team have more than the required number of reserve players who are all built like barbarian body builders."

Mallard said, "I'll do it for Wildwing; despite his living dangerously, I still regard him as a brother."

Ace grinned. "If he would just relax once in a while, he would be on top of his game."

Mallard replied, "They have a sponsor boy coming in tomorrow and I think he is concerned over that."
